Could the spawn rate of healing/bluring be increased on this quest possibly? it's incredibly challenging and fun, but the reward leaves much to be desired.

It's enough to make one not want to do this quest ever again. Having been forced to use 9 blur 13 cure critical wounds, 20+ cure moderate and 20+ cure serious in order to survive many a hectic overwhelming pack (talking about both nightrisers I and II) and ending up with 1 blur and 10 charges of endurance to show for it amongst many other useless peices of junk with epic stats such as +2 discipline or +1 will.

I think the quest is nicely tuned and sure we probably could have had a more optimized smash bot at the head and reduced our costs quite a bit, but when you compare it to say orcs or goblins II, which always give SOME healing/bluring the loot really is dire.

I'll ask respectfully that nobody respond along the lines of "if you don't like the loot don't do the quest" because that is my intention at the moment whilst it is how it is, such a shame to spoil an otherwise exciting quest via loot though.

Listen in Silence

In favour of this.

LOVE the quest.  Beautifully designed, with an awesome and pervading scary atmosphere, as well as tactically difficult situations.

Agree that they consumables, particularly healing are woefully inadequate compared to what is used.

Would also like to see this quest expanded to 8th level if it hasn't been already.

Nightriser I is 3-7. Nightriser II is also 3-7, meaning if you level up on Nightriser I, you can't come along for Nightriser II.

Healing consumable rewards could use a bump as well since the structure of the quest doesn't allow for the cheaper healing methods to be used (e.g. medicinal herbs).

I've done this quest and I only find it to be problemsome when you bring a large number of people with you, it -is- a quest that requires teamwork (Nonfighters healing fighters and such) And I have found the rewards to be fine, especially if you can unlock the chests in part 2.

Well if it's intentional to be only done by the optimal group lest the rewards be nil then I suppose I'll have to avoid it until I get the optimal group. I've done many quests like bog trolls and all that sort of thing with horrific groups, for example 3 people wearing cloth armor and two handing weapons making up the party, managing to complete it and still scrape some rewards. Maybe those quests are too easy, I don't know.

Nightrisers are meant to be a fearsome and challenging foe, they aren't something to go up to and expect to be simple to defeat though, the quest -does- require some strategy and can be completed effectively.

So are orcs, however the difficulty is quite different! Despite the higher level range.

Edit: Also I'd point out we used tactics and careful planning, I'm very good with mechanics you can trust me on this. Only thing that would have made us better is 2 rogue\ x fighter dwarf with expertise and a hammer

Edit2: You seem to be speaking as if we just randomly ran in there clicking things and got hurt! Used a lot and then complained about the lack of loot/difficulty ratio. Fearsome enemies = excellent loot that should far outweigh(or at least cover a fraction of) the expenses to slay them.

Try goblins II if you want to see decent challenge reward ratio. Imo

My experience on Nightrisers 1 and 2 was that the equipment drops are the best I've seen on any quest in the server. That said, I was with a group well suited to smashing Undead, and happened to be the class that a great portion of the loot is designed for.

The potion portion of the reward is a little light though.

Caddies

Nightrisers II is 3-8 last time I did it.

Risers part 2 the examination says 3-7, though.

BringOutYourDead

Ah, probably a typo then.
