Public Sendings and You

Good public sending:

Items: "This is the Merchant Valanzo, Rare and magical goods from across the Colony and Ymph, perhaps even a few trinkets from Old Port that the count Himself would be jealous of! Seek him at his stall upon the western face of the Ziggurat"

Quest: "A Tribe of Rampaging Orcs has been located to the east of Johan's Mill. Gather your men, your arms, your courage, and meet upon the Gates. For Sharboneth we march this day! //3-9"

Bad Public Sending:

Items: "Selling magical cloak. Find me outside kingsman //+1 AC, +2 intimidate, five charges of Protection from Elements, 2 charges of bulls strength"

Quests: "Orcs to kill. Meet outside kingsman. //3-9"

Even if your character isn't a great public speaker, or is often quiet, There is little excuse for such blatant lack of RPing.

Even if your character is a man of few words, a man of shy nature, or anything else of that nature: If your character has low charisma or poor persuade or what have you, simply reflect it!

"[A woman's timid voice, wavering as if extremely nervous] Uh...We are luh-looking for some men to help us slay some Orcs. Please meet us outside the ziggurat to le-lend a hand...//3-9"

Its understandable at times to throw up level ranges for quests, but describing OOC details about a piece of equipment you are selling or simply making a sending of "Killing gnolls, find me by the Kingsman" is kind of taking away the mystique that Sendings are capable of producing.

You are paying 10 gold to make a sending. They are not charging by the word. Throw some RP in there Please remember to try and RP your characters stats and keep things as IC as you are able. A public sending can have the capacity to draw alot of attention if you present them correctly, as well as add alot of fun to the server.
