Getting that message on login and everytime i try to cast. Has previously  worked fine for a long time.

Domains are trickery and luck, deity is Abbathor, PC is Doisur Schor. Account is FreezeyCold

Very odd, seemed to be totally random, had logged on previously the same day on the same server session and everything was fine, then randomly this starting happening.

Odd.

This seems to have corrected itself. I'm leaving the thread open just in case it happens again.

Thanks for checking this out with me.

UnholyWon

It happened to my character Gaffer Griffinburp, domains were Trickery and Travel, deity was set to Brandobaris.

I've tried replacing the domain file, and such but no such luck.

Help?

artfuldodger99

Mine went back to OK after i slept IG and then relogged. NO idea why but that fixed it.

MindOfMist

Perhaps due to the modifications of the trickery domain?

ScottyB

Your character, UnholyWon, does not have the Trickery domain. In fact, it only registers one domain: Travel.

I do not know why this is.

However, the reason the check fails is because it's only counting one valid domain, and finding no required second valid domain.

UnholyWon

I saw that on efusl, but IG on my character sheet it labels the character having the feat. I'm going to try what -artfuldodger99- did and see if this will correct it. If not any suggestions as to fix the problem?

MrGrendel

One of my characters has domains the deity does not normally grant, and has been wanded (on two different occasions) to be able to still cast with them. Upon wanding everything works just fine, until I re-log. (I don't think there was a reset inbetween, since I logged off at an odd spot, and when I returned, was still there.) Once I relog, my character once again gets the divine spellcasting error message, that I have domains my deity does not grant and will not be able to cast, and I get the divine spellfailure message upon casting, as well. The spells then fail, of course. Howland suggested perhaps the wanding effect was not persistent, and that I should report it.

Edit: Efusl does report having two domains, and they both show on my character sheet.

Also: Should I make new thread for this?

I tried the above, and that did not work. I checked EFUSL, and saw that my IG character sheet (Travel domain and Trickery domain) and EFUSL character sheet (Travel domain) differ in recorded domains. I concur with you ScottyB and your findings, how can this be corrected, and what do I need to do on my part to correct it?

ScottyB

Niether of these issues are like the OP's issue, so they should both really be their own threads. Once you've done that, I'll soft-delete everything not related to a perfectly normal character getting spellfailure.

Done, delete my posts here as needed.
