I_need_a_haircut

Hi Guys.  I'm an occasional player here, these days, but I'm finding that after having previously installed the optional haks, I need to update things more than not in order to log in.  I'd like to revert to a pre-hak state, if possible, as it stops me from playing when I do have some spare time.

Any thoughts and/or solutions?

While it won't revert you to pre-hak state, the efu launcher will automatically update the necessary .hak files when you use it to launch NWN.

Apocryphal Misconceptions

There aren't generally a lot of new things being added for which the update launcher is necessary. I advise you use the efu hak launcher only once.

It starts to download the same thing over and over whenever you use it, which takes up a lot of time (but it gets you in the game). I don't use it anymore for that reason and prefer to go through the standard GSID client.

You can delete or rename your hak folder and run it again.

If you have the right and latest version of loader, it shouldn't keep loading haks every time if they haven't been changed or updated, and we don't needlessly do that all the time. Admittedly I've been gone for most of winter, buried in my projects. If you remove haks, you need to tag out from using the haks or the server will expect you to have them. I forgot the commands right now, but if it was /c haks on or so, it likely was /c haks off or so.

I would delete the launcher you're using and get the new one. You should almost never have to be downloading new content. Let us know if this remains a problem.

This happens only on the old launcher. The most recently updated launcher does not do it.
