Coin Drop Bug

Alright, this might sound strange.  However, I had a few instances where I would attempt to provide coin to another character, but the transfer doesn’t go through where the other character would have the option to accept it.  Yet, the coin disappears from my inventory.  Have any of you seen this before?

If you are dragging it out to them, then yes. It seems to catch on certain placed objects or something and simply disappear.

Not fixable. just be careful  and use barter!

To clarify my above post;

This issue seems to happen more on areas with tilesets where player or ground.z is not equal to zero.  (NWN Operates of a 3D grid, everything has an x and y position for where it is, and then a Z for where it is relating to the 'ground level'.

When dropping gold on the ground in some of these tiles that are higher than Z (Especially the new 1.69 tilesets!) I have noticed and assumed that the gold must be dropping to the z position of 0  even though the ground is higher than that!

I have also noticed that items marked usable but without inventory seem to still be able to 'accept' some items, but offer no way to get them back, in a similar fashion as the above!

Any way you handle it, this is not really fixable. The only surefire way to make sure this never happens, is to always use the barter window when relaying gold, or be SURE about the ground you are dropping it on.

Bringing this back up because it is still an issue, let is serve as a reminder to everyone - USE BARTER.

To add to the strangeness, however, I will say that today I lost about 760 gold in two attempts to transfer 380 gold to another character - in BOTH attempts I clicked the character, not a placeable object or the ground. Right after that, I dropped a few coins on the floor as a sort of test, and they all just stayed where they were supposed to; I was even able to get them back.

Right click the character and hit barter. When you have the window open-select and drop the coin into it. I have never ever glitchd in the above way by doing it in this manner.
