Kinslayer988

Wow. A throwaway PC that turned into something far greater! He was made as a joke with Don Quixote and other ill old heroes as the inspiration. A mere farmer and rancher turned adventurer. But there was more to him than that. He was a man who lived a meager life with his wife Elize and some children. As he became a full bearded man, it was a war against goblins that made him realize how mundane his life was, how mundane being a farmer was. He was capable at combat, so why not adventure? To him adventuring was a joy, a pleasure, an experience to revel in. An addiction. He left behind his original family and married/slept around to create many others. Though he could occupy himself with mind-numbing adventure, the hauntings of his many ex-wives and families began to creep up on him. The guilt drove Johan insane.

A mad man referring to himself as 'Milklad' was all that was left. A persona of his farming and ranch life. A farcry to chivalry long abandoned. He was lost in his thoughts, and content to die, until a little man named Gorbengolt managed to spur something within Johan. The memories of Johan, hidden deep within. The memories, they were many. Diverse. Unknown. Difficult to truly understand.

Memories of Despair.

Memories of Adventure.

Memories of Greed. A swordswoman trying to tame Johan. A merchant who saw Johan as nothing more than a useless tool.

Memories of Heroism.

Memories of Friendship?

And memories, of memory...

And memories, of the end.

And so ends, Old Johan Barnagal the Younger, Awoken from his dreams... and to the waking world to face his guilt one last time.

A big thank you to the Spellguard Crew, people of Upper, every person who called him vermin, every person that gave him substance, and a huge thank you to the DM team for this wonderful server (and for this PC in particular, thank you BOM/Calc for planting the roots for so much more).

Have fun and enjoy yourselves everyone. I know I am!

May he find the juice in the next world.

I am so happy that you kept pushing our old Quixote's tale. I enjoyed having him around and to make plans for him. He was impressive and made justice to his description, old, but huge and strong. I hoped that he'd live more so we could  have more to tell about him, and even so, we have told so much.

May the Milklad have a second chance in the afterlife, before the Night Serpent finds him. :)

Ebok

Aww. I'm glad I got to play with him as long as I did.

Knight Of Pentacles

I am only disappointed he didn't beat people up and make them keep him company.  Getting old is lonely :C
