The Beginning[/u], By Kero Rahlst

Enclosed in this article, as will there be in every other, is a various collection of works and viewpoints. Some you may disagree with. Some you may agree with vehemently. The Stargazer Upheaval[/u]
Asking around, it is simple to hear tales of many going ons in our lovely colony. The most pressing of late however, are the events that unfolded within the Starwood.

Information has been gathered from numerous sources. Some popular, some not so popular, to be submitted to you for acceptance or denial.

The Timeline begins with a Stygian by the name of Heldar being robbed by a local Shaman of the Savages by the name of Leged, a Sharboneth Armsman reports. Attempts to contact Leged had proven unfruitful as he does not dwell within the city, and all who I spoke with who knew of him had little means to contact.

Upon learning that he was robbed, the Stygian gathered a band of his brethren and began to search of Leged. In time their search lead them to the Stargazer Village amongst Starwood.

At this point, all acounts get hazy. Speaking with a Stygian it is said that the Stargazers opened fire upon them, swayed to the side of the Wildwalkers that they share nature with, and that they acted in Self defense.

A source within the Court states however, that it would be more likely that negotiations broke down, and the Stygians did what it was that the Stygians do. [Story Continued on page Three]

The Family We Love[/i]

We all know well the Sharboneths. Lord Alamander and those of his ilk often lay their lives upon the line for our wellbeing. Also do we find many men sworn to their cause of keeping us safe and our well being a chief concern. Of late however, various individuals have come up from the shadows, as often cowards do. "The Liberator", claiming to free us from the Shackles of peace and harmony.

Any information that can be found on this individual may be directed straight to the Citadel. Do your part. Assist your Colony. See these traitors put in their place.

Jobs[/b][/i]
The following areas are ripe for the picking, should you be short on coin:
  • The Refugee camp is always in need of supplies
  • The Lathanderites are said to be leading the charge against the Riser menace upon this island, and could no doubt use hands
  • The Kingsman has appeared a bit short staffed lately, leaving that charming wineseller locked and his best of brews away from me
  • Have you noticed a sincere lack of Arcane potion brewers? Some of us have
  • Where do you have to go to find a decent sandwhich? Where have all the Chefs gone?
  • Lycanthropes run rampant. I am sure someone would pay to bring in hides and heads.
The "Pawtrician" Slain.[/b][/i]
In an update to our urgent noticed, After a failed attempt at escape, the Pawtrician Morganblade was roasted alive by our brave protectors. Amidst the Execution, dissent broke out when it was learned that numerous amongst the colony knew of her "Affliction" of being a horrid monster, but failed to report such.

One Armsmen was knocked unconcious, others were wounded. One Lathanderite woman was arrested and one interloper. Numerous on scene deounced their work as Tyrants, but quickly dispersed when challenged.

Sir Berengar, the man who lead the capture of the Lycanthrope, deserves your praise for his bravery to go beyond the call of mere citizen, to keep us safe from this deceitful creature.

QuoteA Message from Prior Blake and the Lathanderite Church Join the Cause, aid the Colony! Be you man or woman, Dwarf or Human, If you can wield a blade or investigate a problem, Join the Sharboneth Armsmen! Every effort helps!

(Story continued from page one, The Stargazer Upheaval)

Regarding the alleged breakdown of Negotiations, and the inevitable attack upon the Stargazer village, one Courtmember sat down with me for a brief interview.
Quote"Resources and energies should not be wasted on needless conflict with these natives. They were drawn into this conflict because the Stygians pursued a Druid into their village. The Stygians may have right to arrest the druid or regain property but should have been done so without risking war with a neutral tribe. My concern is the people here, if the Stargazers begin attacking citizens, then war may be necessary. The Stygians are here to protect the Colony, and the interests of House Sharboneth. It is the role of House Sharboneth to see that thoes who do not [Perform valiantly], are not allowed to threaten the interests and goals of those who rule here."

An unknown number of Stargazers were killed, and to allegedly stem off Retaliation, a notice was posted by Armsman Cecil Lupo regarding the region of their Village declared a protectorate of the Colony, Treason being the charge for attacking Stargazers.

A Stygian questioned about the attack spoke at length of the conflict with the druids, stating it was not because of any stolen equipment, but the fact that they have reccently begun harvesting beasts of the island to train for War and other activities, prompting a schism between their Cadre and the local savages, and that the Savages were brainwashing the Stargazers into fighting their battles for them.

At present things appear to have leveled off, but the Politics of this city make it hard to tell what issues have died, and what are flourishing behind closed doors. I and my Reporters and sources shall continue to do our best to bring forth the Truth for your consideration.
