Vlaid

Don't have a ton of screenshots and never really went on any DM events but it was an interesting PC.

He started out as a rather simple concept. A bounty hunter from Calimshan with a servile and respectful demeanor to anyone with gold and power. He had a certain quiet style that didn't come out often, along with a great respect for his enemies whoever they were.  He was to always seek out the most powerful and affluent to serve to whatever their ambitions - a purpose carried over from his long life on the surface serving pashas and sultans to raid merchant caravans to keep their power in the check.

In the end, that turned out to be Baron Ormulax as the most powerful and affluent. He was a willing thrall to his great immensity though it wasn't exactly planned and kind of a spur of the moment thing without any forethought. He had plans and schemes with people in nearly every corner of the server - and he sold their most intimate secrets to anyone who would buy and planned to betray every last one to carve all the gold he could out for his immensity Baron Ormulax. He would help people only to earn their trust to betray them but always made it a point to never directly lie if he could at all avoid it.

Alas he was betrayed before he could betray everyone else - or they became wise to his true nature as someone not to be trusted for any reason. I hope everyone enjoyed the shady thrall mercenary, he was definitely fun for me.

So here's the few shots I managed to dig out (missed most of the good scenes unfortunately!). If any DM feels these screenshots are too spoilery feel free to just delete them, I think they should be ok by now though...

Just an example of Zahir's dry wit and sense of humor that sadly no one ever truly appreciated except one person.

This shot fairly well sums up Zahir's shady and rocky relationship with many people of wildly different backgrounds on the server. Never could tell as Zahir who was friend or foe.

Though slightly outdated, I think I got to about 20k gold before I died. Everything Zahir did after getting enthralled was to spread the Baron's influence and acquire more gold - even the slaying of Edwyn and Justin for their bounties. I had dreams of getting Marge and all the gold she ever collected and cranking up the Baron's donation dish to 100k. Maybe the Baron can afford those gold spinners for his eye-stalks he always wanted now.
The end.

Removed some shots, maybe they will come back later.

Knight Of Pentacles

The Assassination of Edwyn Nibley by the Coward Zahir yn Utem

But seriously, well played.

VanillaPudding

It was fun to play alongside Zahir, from start to finish really. His constant schemes were fun, though it's tough for one man to stick in that game for too long and survive without getting caught. Very well done!

cmenden

Wait. Wait. WAIT.

Let me get this straight.

The guy who killed Edwyn Nibley was a thrall?!

The Old Hack

*snicker* I love the irony of it.

tala_kai

He was so awesome as a bounty hunter when I thought he only did that for the gold, but I love him so much more now that I know there was another scheme behind all that.

Awesome work, Vlaid

xXCrystal_Rose

The Baron can now get a gaudy diamond grill for his maw now thanks to your efforts. He was a good ambiance, Zahir.

Pentaxius

Well played Vlaid, well played. Zahir had some serious flair to his person.

Howlando

His Immensity will miss you, Beloved Wormflesh.

One_With_Nature

I enjoyed interactions with him, seems like he had some big plans that would have been nice to see come to fruition

Pandip

His air of humble professionalism was a breath of fresh air when it comes to bounty hunters. His terse reliability was certainly something that Ksenia appreciated, especially considering the circumstances!

The Crimson Magician

stuck to his guns and glory mad props

tinfoilhat

Had some really great interactions with him towards the end, bummed we didn't get to expand on the PLANS we had in the infancy stages.

Rock on, Vlaid.

Random_White_Guy

Somewhere on the far isles of the Dark Lake, Mack pours one out for his homey.

RIP, Sahib.

Most bounty hunters would invis-gank out of nowhere. The fact Zahir hung out with, and tried to worm his way into Nibley's confidence made it a lot more interesting. Stylish Ormulax Thrall, too.
