It took me alot of thought to make this decision, but at long last I have decided to bring this character to an end. At the start of EFU-R I was able to accomplish alot, I had some great dealings with a multitude of players who where willing to embrace the idea of an assassin.

Gold was easy to come by, supplies not so much and many a character quickly come into conflict with others and found themselves unable to do anything about it.

That is when Charles Stepped in and offered the helping hand of Bhaal.

With numerous PC and RL issues I had to step away, and each time I tried to come back to the server I found it extremely difficult to get back into things. The playerbase changed a fair amount and my old questing buddies ascended to DM status.

With RL calming down I finally made the decision to come back and really give Charles a fitting story with hopes that I could make him into an NPC. Unfortunately The cost to come back has proved to be too much for me and with little knowledge of the setting and a lack of ability to move forward in any capacity I think it best that I really call it a day. When you are not having fun it is time to move on.

Screenshots are few, but they will come eventually. Until then I will let you take a peek at his personal character notes.

Character Goals-

1)Form a guild of Assassins dedicated to the Resurrection of Bhaal.
2) Become an Events Manager for the Pissing Crone
3) Seek out numerous contracts for Assassinations
4) Find a way to replace his missing left hand.


Achievements so far.

1) Charles has started forming his own guild of assassins, a long grueling process in which he only has one member who arrived with him from skullport. Each member recruited will need to partake pass the initiation test.

Admittance into the Guild will require one public, enjoyable and dangerous Assassination. Secrecy is an optional extra which will have its own reward. The Murder should be swift, ruthless and in the Name of Bhaal. The Victim should be completely aware of what is happening to them and if possible, be allowed to flee somewhat before being cut down.

In -all- cases Assassins must announce themselves seconds before the kill.

Approached Charles and on learning of his profession and faith, agreed to become his student. Following his teachings in both infiltration, information gathering, preparing the mark and his ritualistic teachings.     -The Blood Pits

Players will be recruited to play a handful of goblin/kobold PCs. These PCs will be made to fight in the pissing Crone with FD as an option if they lose.

Players will buy into the games with a grand prize pool to be won. Entering the ring they will face 2-3 monster PCs on FD mode, while the monster PCs seek to subdue them.  

Players will be given an option to place bets on the fights and take loans from other Lower PCs.

It is my intent that once the Blood pit has gained some momentum that certain monster PCs will be picked to become "House Champions" These will be given narcotics to see them last longer in fights and defeating them will earn fighters a large sum of gold.[/hide]

The first event went under way with a gathering of roughly fifteen pcs. Two main events where created the first being the Rahkdish rumble. Numerous pc's pain in a sum of one hundred gold with the prize money being 1000 gold.

The rules-
Each participating player would have to subdue every other human in the ring.
When this was done, they could then move on to try and subdue Rahkdish. If any player attacked him before the other participants where subdued they would be disqualified. During the entire event, Rahkdish would have free reign to attack whichever participant he wanted.

The Goblin challenge

This event was designed to give goblins a fighting chance against superior opponents, while at the same time giving people the ability to full death a lesser creature.

Three goblins showed for the event played by, OskarMaxon, JohanMaxon and Pup.

One player agreed to the challenge and participated.

The rules-
No weapon of your choice.
No potions of your choice.
To use either potion or weapon, your character would need to be sponsored by someone outside of the ring.
Sponsorship cost 200 gold,
A weapon depending on size and lethality would cost between 1-300gp to wield for the fight.
A potion, depending on usefulness would cost from 200-500gp.
One random buff would be given to each fighter goblin or human.

-Goblins won this fight and where awarded six hundred gold between them.

This job was a failure. Charles was attacked outside of the Crone by Slyd and others from under the guise of invisibility. Apparently aware of his services to the spell guard.

He lost a slice of bone and flesh from his left arm, and marked the job as a failure on his stomach.

They are unaware however, that he is passing the job onto his new apprentice when she is ready, and if the spell guard still require Slyd removed.

4) As of yet, Charles has made no move to replace his missing Hand. I am hoping to somehow find a way to earn him a spiritual Hand, one that can absorb the souls of those he slays so that he may use them to somehow resurrect Bhaal

Due to growing fame and increased Demand Charles has increased his prices.

The lowest fee is now Four thousand gold, for the lowest kind of man. After this prices go up depending on the character involved. This payment only involves the actual killing of the player, nothing else. The players remains are left alone.

Next we have the three packages.

Burial

The character will be assassinated and taken to a discreet burial site, known only to Charles. The remains will sit along side other victims of this nature and could be found by players later down the line. They could be brought back from the dead, it is unlikely but a possibility.

Fee- 800 on top of the base charge.

Extraction/Public.

This package involves one of two things, either the public assassination of the victim or the extraction. Extraction involves being taken from upper, or a place they find themselves safe and brought to the employer. The Employer can then decide to deal the last blow to the victim. However, that is all. The remains are they left to be found and the victim can indeed be brought back.

Fee, 1800 on top of base charge.

Erased

This is the final package and the only package that can assure the victim will not be returning. It involves silently taking out the target, delivering a final message from the employer and removing the head as a trophy. This package comes at a staggering cost on top of the base charge and cannot be stopped once paid for.

Fee- 3000 Gold on top of the base Charge.

B.P was recently approached by Blythe to partake in the framing of her husband to be, Jebidiah Firefly. The original plan was to pose an attempted assassination, with the evidence planted by Blythe pointing towards her fiancée. It was a move meant, to cripple the black guild and remove her political adversary. Opening up the next directors role to her.

B.P managed to convince her, that to truly sell the story she had woven the deed would need to be truly done. So that his own reputation would stay intact and none could question her role in the tale. She agreed, and made her own preparations for being resurrected.

Requirements- Public, quick, incriminating towards Firefly
Payment- 1500, paid up front.
Status- Completed.

A few months back, Renee Graystrand approached B.P regarding this target. Due to his ability to detect her evil nature she required B.P to handle him quietly. Event with her recent death B.P still holds himself to the contract he was paid for and will continue to hunt Jacky flint. Giving him the last words requested by Renee.

Requirements- Quietly, no evidence, last message from Renee.
Payment, 3000, paid up front.
Status- Ongoing.

The projection arm, sought by the Masked man is a current target for B.P. While normally he would not result to theft or banditry, the opportunity to meet the masked man and receive a hefty reward in the process is too good to pass on.

He knows the arm is currently held by his old friend and employer, Usarker Kell. A meeting is being planned between the two of them and during this meeting B.P will attempt to relieve Kell of the arm.

Payment- Masked Mans reward.

I've dreaded this time, but the time has come. Your services are required. Patrice Vermand is the name of the corpse I want. When declining some outrageous proposal he offered me in the Crone, to give up my men to him or else I'd face problems with the Law... If I get any more problems with the law, I'll be executed, specially with the kind of case he's threatening to move. Mind you he stated it clearly his wish to move men down to Lower and 'clean up' all the scum. I need this done fast. Tell me the price. I can also provide all sorts of trinkets and potions that you might need for the job, probably everything you might need I have. I am a -very- resourceful man. Contact me as soon as you can.

B.P wholeheartedly accepted the latest job, offering three different packages to Atto, on top of the base charge of five thousand. Part of the package payment was provided in potions for the job and another fifteen hundred was offered in aid for an upcoming task.

Requirements- No trace to be left of the victim, final words being wrote. Resurrection should not be possible.
Payment- Five thousand to be paid, 1500 in supplies have been paid, 1500 offered in services to B.P
Status- Begins once the 5000 is received.

I require services of a clandestine nature, a saboteur and assassin. Prove capable in these initial undertakings and I will have considerable employment to come.

A Visionary.

This letter was received prior to a meeting between D.I and myself. In the meeting his character and mine discussed B.Ps employment with regard to setting two of the major under dark cities against each other. In exchange for his services B.P requested more than just gold, instead he requested aid in creating an ethereal hand to replace his missing one.

The visionary agreed to the terms and asked the task be done quickly as time was running out. With that in mind, B.P negotiated the aid of Proversons Men in ambushing a trade route of the Duergar settlement, and placing the blame on the Fort Mur Thralls.

Requirements- No trace back to sanctuary, one of the other major cities must take the blame.
Payment- Aid in creating an ethereal hand, payment to come.

-Hired by the prefect, charles has been paid the mininum pack to take out this character. Preperations are being made for the kill and the aim is to make a public example of the watcher. On success of this mission the player will then hire charles for a second mission, against the spellgaurd agent Maub.


Lower-

With the increase activity in lower, I have decided to bring Bhaals faith to a stronger purpose. Caliming that all murders within Lower shall require a tithe and that those who break this basic law of lower will be hunted down and made example of. The slime unity cultists are already showing they intend to oppose this method and will be dealth with by another means.

Cultists of Tuth-

Approached Charles twice, offering him money and power in exchange for the life of their greatest enemy. Charles will be approaching them soon enough to offer a deal. The life of their greatest enemy in exchange for them to begin openly opposing the cultists of Unity.

Saphire Power Core-

Charles has delved into lower on two occasions during DM events in search of the power core. With increased awareness of Bhaal, I have decided to start the process of a small player faction. One of the main goals will be to find this power core and hand it to the Masked man.






I would like to thank all the players who aided me in making this Assassin possible, to the DM team for allowing me to return and my apologies that this time around I could not hold my end of the Bargain.

It was unfortunate that RL spiked when you were just starting to get into the flow of things but it was great in early EFU:R to have such a presence roaming those many months ago.

It can be tough to bring a PC back from such, and try to rebuild everything, but kudos on the attempt.

Watching stuff unfold and even our little meetings when I was on Firefly were no end of fun.
