This thing is a beast. The first time I did it I got a reward that was... well, I won't talk about it. Suffice to say that my buddy Ix used it to remove a mummy's face... or rather to remove the mummy's ability to remove 'his' face. Second time hold person scroll. *shrugs* The rewards keep me guessing, and the time it takes... I did the third incarnation, the one with six disks, and it took me well over a half an hour. I actually lost my mind a little.

Well done making this time consuming enough to balance it out! Drove me up a wall...

Now, I was pleased with the ramp for rewards, but I finished the 8-disc one, and it dropped back down to just one scroll!
 
Of course, anything better than another one of those tunics, but still.

Erm.. laddo... I've never gotten more than one item. Count yourself lucky. Also, if you finished the eight-disker, you need to find yourself a hobby. A different one.

It's not about the effort... it's about the LITERALLY mindless clicking. I could easily back up the action queue until no more icons would show in the top left... EASILY!

If monotony's your thing then by all means do 7, 8 or 1'000 rings.
Once you've figured out 4, you have figured it out unto infinity.
But remember, you could be holding up some poor guy that wants to try it with 3!

I tried doing eight and my mind f*cked itself.
 
 
And you can get really good stuff in there too. Scrolls are good, sometimes you can get two.... and then there are the rare item drops, those kick arse.

I have just completed 7 disks, it takes some time, but it is still quite possible. A question though, the maximum number of disks is about 10, no? The pillar does not look like it will take any more than that, unless it fills up another pillar as well. Or does it stack up beyond the height of the single pillar? >_>

Did a bit of research yesterday. Someone mentioned that legend that the 64-disc version would be finished at the end of the world.
 
Doing that puzzle at one disc per second would take about 600 billion years. So that's actually somewhat accurate.
