Polymorph shapes

I know it's low on the list of things to consider but as my first time playing a tried and true Transmuter I find it kind of strange that we can turn into ZOMBIES and PIXIES and MASSIVE UMBERHULKS-

But we can't change into humans.

Kind of self serving I know but I just find it strange that the spell Polymorph can't allow humanoid shapes. It's not like it would be as permanent as shifter, and clearly it wouldn't last forever as the spell has a duration, I just find it a little on the odd end of things.

Some variation of Elf, Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Half-Orc, and Halfling added to the list of polymorph shapes would open a lot of doors for many RP facets and avenues.

It would also be nice if we could change some of the existent animals shapes, like parrot, into something more appropriate. Like bats and rockworms.

At the same time, perhaps it would be possible to create items with pre-set polymorph shapes? So, for example, an item that turns, for a short time, the user into an actual undead spirit? Or items that could have a necromantic or infernal origin that allowed the user to change their appearance to that of any stored soul (when it was still alive).

This would still have to be counter-balanced somehow. In the sense that, somebody who does not have sufficient social skills cannot pretend to be a a "perfect" Dwarf or Elf. This would have to be on a RP rather than mechanical side, although I imagine some perks, like the Detective for the Rogues, could have an easier time telling a Shapechanger apart.

   Use the player tool RwG.  You can change into a little boy, little girl, or sexy sexy Dryad that basically looks like a scantily clad elf.  That's how Trem got his Naruto-esque sexy transformation jutsu powers.
