So, one of the biggest trials that we who no longer can enter the Sanctuary face, among a LOT of trials, is the lack of income. Not necessarily the lack of income sources, but that gold income is a lot harder to obtain. The sending system in lower is already more priced per usage than in the Sanctuary, so I really don't think the 500 gold fine to open it is really appropriate. When you're exiled and aren't allowed to recover any gold you've saved in the bank, it's sort of hard to gather people to go quest or whatever for gold if you can't make a sending, in which case you need to pay 500 gold beforehand to unlock in the first place...

TL;DR, Remove the sending unlock cost, but keep the message cost for the messenger girls/boys. It's not worth going on an entire quest just to use a sending system that isn't even readily known by a lot of characters. :neutral:

It is what it is for IC purposes all the same. We are not likely to change it. Being outside the area and technology you want to use has it's costs, and it is very much intended.

It has always felt to me that it was done to preserve the exclusivity of the rogue perk more than anything. The buy in sum seems overly high and serves no real justifiable purpose. Opinions might not matter much to affect this change, but keeping that system on a high reserve is just a loss of potential if you ask me.

There could be a difference in costs for a sending between Rogues and other Characters. That way rogues still steal away with a benefit.
