A response to Jayde Moon's anti FD rant

I am seeing that Communism has once again affected the server. Allow me to retort to the recent shout, and my two cents. I am an American, and will exert my historic 1st Ammendment right to freedom of Speech. Fortunately everyone was protected by this right except the godless Communists we locked up for being Communists, and talking Communism.



What the Communist Jayde Says

"If this was one of the main characters in the book about my character, would now be the time that the author would choose to end that character, or would the author find a way to let the character live in order to build on the rivalry for a later, more dramatic showdown?"
WHAT THE DOC SAYS!?!?!?!?!?!

DOC "If a character in the story is  facing death in the eye, and about to die do you stay there silent, do you beg for mercy? Do you beg for death?" Do you do anything to save your skin?  Or do you just scream obscenities at your captor, and then wonder why he killed you?" He makes you an offer of working with him or facing death? Do you decide to potentially change the development of your character or do you just prompt that person to kill you????  


More Communism

LOGIC!
Plenty of random people/characters in books, and stories are killed purely for the soul development of the antagonist of the story. The Captain of the Rebel ship talking to Vader, and killed for not disclosing information ring a bell? Could he have developed into a future leader of the Rebel alliance????!?!?!!?!?  Could one of the Orcs killed by Aragon been a future warlord for Sauron seeking vengeance? This argument can be invalidated by basic literature, and who is to say PCS should be above the earlier short lived characters that are killed purely for the development of another villain in the story?






Final message

I encourage all people to be vigilant, and take a stand against Communist suggestions. Be it from any Player or member of the DM team. I encourage players to seriously think when they are subdued, and to not expect mercy when your character acts in a manner that says the following.

1 I will definitely come back with a gank squad of all my buddies, and FD you.

2 I will go to Law Enforcement PCS, and they will lock you up, because I cannot keep my mouth shut about you killing someone with me.

3 I totally do not give a fuck, and am going to disrespect this guy who is capable of just killing me #YOLO #SWAG #DONT GIVE A FUCK!!!!!!

4 I am a monster or have done an extremely evil act widely condemned such as animate the dead, I am a divine agent of Cyric or another god of extreme evil, Summon demons, and devils into this plane, and make the world a darker, and evil place.  I should not have played such an evil bastard who even Evil people will kill just to appear as functioning members of society.

5 I am a goody two shoes, and I am a Paladin who will not lose faith I am oath bound by divine rights to eventually kill you. Perhaps I should choose life over my ridicules ideology, Or I should have not played a Paladin or a divine agent of goodness!

There is no 'Anti-FD' Rant.  Also, not sure where 'Communism' (as a political ideology) comes into this.  But, you are the Doc.

Your first 'counterpoint' doesn't actually… counter my point.  It just adds to it by saying that this consideration might come from both sides.

Your second counterpoint totally misses the fact that the quote instructs you to assume that the character in question is an important one in the book and not just a nameless, throwaway person placed there solely for the point of being killed by the protagonist or otherwise major character.

As for your five points, I really only see 1:

This stops right here. Whether trolling or truly being an ass, Doc, you're just unable to show your age. Only your writing has improved since the early times. This might be funny in it's own sense but incurs more anger and arguing than anything else.

Now, if you're serious with your notion - alright. You're entitled to it, but you're welcome to stay away from efu for all I care, if so. If it's just a poor attempt for a joke, and excellent success in trolling - well, I gues you win. In which case I'll gladly grant you exactly what you would expect of me.

Eh, as someone who currently plays a LG character, I've let several people go fully knowing they 'might come back with all of their buddies and FD me.'

If it happens, it happens, but I like to, at the very least try to motivate them to have mercy should the situation be turned on it's ear.
