No XP on Orange Delivery

When doing that orange delivery quest by the main gate and in the camp, I got 15GP for reward but also a notice that said, "You were not part of this quest and will not receive XP." Except, I was the guy doing the quest! Not a big deal, but I'll toss it out there.

a similar thing happened to me on the interesting scrolls delivery quest to kingsman aswell

Workaround:
 
Only click the item you get this quest from once. Otherwise, going through the (now different) dialog tree again kind of half-cancels the quest, and you get only physical reward and no xp at all.
