Donna Gloriana McGlitt
The typical old, strange lady. Hypochondriac and maniac, Old Glory, as most know the senile matron of the McGlitt, always had strange affinities. Cats and other domestic animals would run from Old Glory, who cultivated an inexplicable hatred and suspicion towards the creatures. In the middle of the night, she would wake up in panic, calling her sons, grandsons and great grandsons that someone was spying on her while sleeping in the bedroom. She would complain about the soup being too hot or too cold, or randomly accuse it to be poisoned, screaming that the cook was trying to kill her. It has been like this since she was only a pretty innocent little girl, years having done nothing else other than worsen her manias.

Truth be told, Old Glory is one of the strongest of the family, outliving most of her younger relatives and managing to go on living up to her extraordinary 93 years. Nonetheless, she would not let a single day pass without complaining about a pain or supposed terrible illness that ravaged her poor old body, telling everyone that death was near her bed and waiting for the chance to demand her soul.
Ostrador McBlatt

One of the odd-balls of the McBlatt family.. Not much in particular is known about this McBlatt. Though it is common knowledge that he will do whatever it takes to earn the approval of the McBlatt family. He is rather unpredictable, and his behavior is most of the time unacceptable by McBlatt and McGlitt alike. Causing a great bit of confusion when conflict arises around the man.

I'm curious.

What would happen if you were to roll up a character with 18 INT and therefore acquire the resulting crapload of skill points, but then roll a 1 for INT and end up having absolutely no right to them?

The same goes for feats, really (mainly thinking of the INT 13+ feats here like Expertise, for example).

Or rolling a spellcasting class and ending up with a spellcasting ability under the normal minimum of 11.

EDIT: My bad, instructions do specify not to make spellcasters. Other questions stand, though.

Clyde "Bugger" McBlatt

The black sheep of the McBlatt family, and constantly the butt of their jokes.  The more outspoken McBlatts love to go on about his laziness, and his lack of taste in his amorous appetites, be it cousins, livestock, or even worse (gasp) McGlitt womanfolk!  Bugger's a practiced liar (though he may or may not be any good at it, opinion differs), and he is known to snoop around, gathering dirt that he can repeat at the local watering hole, where he can usually be found drunk out of his mind (he's alcoholic).  Bugger's lack of judgement is legendary among both McBlatts and McGlitts - but he might just be playing the fool.

Thelonius McGlitt, MIGHTY WIZARD

The mightiest wizard in the village of Goar's Rest is Thelonius McGlitt. Unfortunately, that's not saying much. Most of Thelonius' power is derived from a significant amount of bluster, and even mere cantrips give him trouble, if he can manage them at all. The slightly more idiotic numbers of villagers in Goar's Rest, however, tend to gaze in awe as Thelonius makes handkerchiefs disappear and tosses about masses of glittering dust in an elaborate display of magical ineptitude, and that is quite enough for him.

Just start with relatively balanced stats. No more than 14 int. If you end up with 6 int but have a few extra skill points (or a feat) I don't really mind.

Wynna McBlatt

Wynna McBlatt

A hideously large woman with greasy, unkempt dreadlocks. Determined to provide for the family as is her 'duty,' she has taken up the profession of woodswoman. Tragically, her large frame, stubby arms and absolutely detestable demeanor make her uniquely unqualified for such work. At the very least, she has the constitution of an ox, but much like an ox, absolutely no grace or precision.

I have one query, you roll 6d11 to determine stats, do you get to choose which stat is which, or are they done in order, strength then dex then con etc

Corrigo

You don't get to pick, you roll for each stat successively.

Grayson McBlatt

Grayson is your typical run of the mill farmer. His days begin with tending to the plots and ends with a few too many drinks in his belly. He is a raging alcoholic, and previous drug addict. While his company is welcome among Goar's rest he will always be known as the strange man that falls over tables and yells about his dead grandmother at dinner time.

Horas McGlitt

Father knows, I am the future of our House and Clan.  After all, who else is more brilliant and favored by father then me?  The luxuries our family enjoys…is off the backs of McBlatt, yes…but it is our shrewdness in business and ruthlessness with blades that makes us better than their ignorant numbers!  I also know… that purity of the bloodline comes from within!  Perhaps in time, one of my sisters may recognize my spender, and compete for my attention and affection?  Father would be so proud...

Fighter (Hopefully, Duel wielding large knives (Shortswords), or a sickle if the stats are piss poor)

Pentaxius

Rupert McBlatt

A supertitious and deeply conservative old man. Self-proclaimed "warden and patriarch" of the McBlatt tradition and spirit. Scorned by the younger generation of McBlatt for his incessant bickoring and moralizing attitude. Deluded in his belief that he himself is privy to the will of the powers above - and that all ills and misfortune can be attributed to those who did not heed his sermons with severity and diligence.

Hughes "Huey" McBlatt

Of all my kin and brethren, I care for the respect and sanctity of the McBlatts. I may not be smart, I may be weak, and I may not be the most handsome of the family,  but I will defend our name until the day I die. And those damnable McGlitts will regret the day that they ever crossed paths against a McBlatt, mark my words.

Hughes is a young and learning man, who has arrogantly fought against the McGlitts since the day he could throw a punch. Rugged, dirty, and despicable to all McGlitts, Hughes has been a thorn in their side for years.

Fighter, uses a rust-caked longsword, and whatever works as a shield.

Is it possible to adjust the class after rolling the character's stats? If Floyd McBlatt is a wizard (since I had to pick up a class in the beginning), then I roll int 06. I understand the point is the randomness, but would he ever have become a wizard with int 06 at all (even though he won't be able to cast spells, he'll still be able to use scrolls, wands, have a familiar, etc)
