As per the announcement post, use this thread to ask any questions or post a rough biography of your McGlitt or McBlatt.

Ryan

Will there be a sign up process, or is anyone allowed to get in on this the day it begins?

Howlando

Pretty much open to anyone, as my post says!

Will the stats be modified then after the character is made? As for examplenif I roll one (1) six (6) times I will need my stats to be lowered?

Spiffy Has

Hanse McBlatt

Your typical uneducated peasant, superstitious of the world and insisting everything around him, from an owl hooting to the purr of a cat is a sign from the gods of disfavor or favor. He refuses to eat meat that was slain by lightning, claiming it was the wrath of talos for the beast had sinned. He lives in absolute terror of the gods, and condemns the McGlitt family as all false heathens and heretics, shouting loudly that they consort with demons and should all be burned at the stake.

class fighter/pitchfork wielder

Ryan

Sebastian McGlitt

For one reason or another (either justified or hilariously ill-considered, depending on his stats,) Sebastian was considered one of the favorites of the McGlitt family patriarchs. He insists on looking prim and proper at all times and fights with a rapier he is either exceptionally skilled with or has no earthly idea how to use.

Yes. You must level up to 2, and then the stats will be adjusted.

The unpredictability of being forced to accurately portray something that could have really strange stats (good, bad, whatever) is kind of the point of the prelude!

With the bios, bear in mind that things may change according to what the stats end up being. If you roll a 1 for charisma, which would give you 6 charisma, your character would naturally have been a disliked anti-social loner.

Dredi

I don't think the maths quite work out.. If 1 = 6, how can 10 = 16 it's +9 on one and +10 on the other

Howlando

You're right, that was a dumb mistake on my part. They'll roll a 1d11 then.

Thanks for noticing!

Ohemul McBlatt

Ohemul, born and raised in the Blatt family home is a great thinker. Or atleast he thinks alot. Be it because he is so stupid that it is very well needed to understand the basic things in life, or that he is an intelligent philosopher? Who knows! He thinks of himself a great man, and maybe he is. Maybe he isn't. He stands with a fierce loyality to his family and always lends a helping hand. Especionally if it is in beating up any of the McGlitts.

Class: Barbarian Grainflail.

Nikolaz

Carl 'Charles' McGlitt

Despite the 'fortune' of the family affording them the ability to have their own family doctor, their physician was becoming older fast and they had to face the reality that one day he might be leaving them for good. As a result, they decided to send the young, but growing Carl to the city of Dagger Falls, to become the apprentice of a fancy city doctor in an attempt to get their own private physician, close by and cheap as it would be within the family! The McGlitts spend quite a bit of money sending Carl away to get a fancy education in medicine at the big city, and he appreciated the efforts but..

Carl always wanted a career in SONG! He spent much of his youth adventuring around the farm, singing with the birds and listening to the old folksongs. And when he reached the city he spend every chance he got to try and sneak his way into various drinking establishments or at least stand by the windows to listen to the minstrels song and music.

His efforts and education was wasted, as one day when he was left in his masters workshop he somehow managed to anger his god Tymora which resulted in him being cursed with terrible luck. Leaving him braindead, flearidden, flyattracting, dungsmelling and all around weak and sick. A seemingly terrible end for a young man whom once had a promising future.

Class: Bard.

Dory

Dory McBlatt

This teenaged girl has spent more time idling around Goar's Rest and being a general nuisance of herself instead of working the fields or the home as she's supposed to. When the end of the world came about, she became even more useless.

JackHearts

Bryman McBlatt

A very outspoken McBlatt about the McGlitt family. In private, at least. Being spotted speaking out in a public forum with the rival house present would be a very rare sight (depending on charisma score). Otherwise he's a member of the McBlatt family that doesn't contribute to it's overall improvement. At all.

Class: Barbarian

Lunivere

Jerry McGlitt

The quiet, slow, unassuming tavernsweep Half-Orc of the prestigious McGlitt clan, whose mother was tragically raped and left for dead by a Dalelands warband. Little-be-knownst to his contemporaries, 'our touched lad' Jerry's outward slowness disguises a hidden talent...
