Snirveblin Lifting Bracers

It was suggested i post this here. I noticed that when my character Ett'a equipped snirveblin lifting bracers the Armor Class bonus was negated by my armor. Oddly, i tried to find reasons why it would be negated and unequipped my armor. Doing so caused the AC to return, and then when i equipped my armor i suddenly got an armor penalty when wearing it in conjunction with the bracers. remove the bracers the penalty went away. I am wondering if it is the nature of the bonus (+1 AC Armor Modifier) that is coming into conflict with the armor. If this is intentional i apologize for this post, if not then it is confusing. My armor has no magical AC bonuses or  AC enchantments, it is custom fitted breastplate armor.

Intentional. AC bonus will not work if you have anykind armor, and in few occasions it will give a negative penalty to fix it, which will be removed with unequip/equipping things again.

You will be able to get +1 ac bonus from the bracers only if you have no armor.

If you have -1 armor bonus (penalty) on armor, bracers work (negating the penalty). Is this intentional or bug?

It's how it works. It will give you penalty if you attempt to force the ac bonus on top of having armor already. It's a bit moody script but it's related to how it handles it.

I've been meaning to remove all bracers that give +AC from the module as they don't work very well. I suspect these come from the volts quest, but if they ever drop anywhere else let me know and I'll remove.

They drop in the Steam Shaft quest as well, I think.

yes, the steam shaft quest is where i got the, i've never found them in the volts quest but i have no doubt that they could be found there
