Can we have a more intuitive way of changing through the options of heads for the starting area?

Something like a dialogue box with a nice gnome explaining it all, maybe (kinda like the tailor for cloth and dye options)?

I am around for 2 years and only now I've discovered that we have the command  /c setheadset next (thanks, Crimage) for it. The problem grows bigger when you want to jump around the many options of head, and you got now the haks to make them even more numerous.

Well the NPC has been there if you just look at them at the start area, and explains it if you examine them.

It could probably be put down but it's faster if you are aware of a number, just putting it down there with the command.

Definitely is not any sort of focus right now to put down any dialog for it.

Pretty sure "Next" works. so just set a hotbar command to something like /c setheadset next or something.

You can also extract the heads from the .hak file with nwhak.exe and dump them in your override folder. This allows you to choose them in the character creation screen.

The command "next" is not explained anywhere, neither the process of extracting the hak.

Both I know and I can fairly manage by myself, but these things are not accessible to newbs. I made this thread in order to expose a problem that would affect people coming to the server for the first time or that would be around for a while and still have problems with it.

To have something more intuitive like the tailor would be more suitable and adequate than having people to go through command lines and extracting procedures.

If you'd care to host such an override file, Playa, then get it stickied somewhere. I'm sure lots of people would appreciate it.

If the command "/c setheadset next" is not documented anywhere, that is certainly a major oversight! I'll check and add if necessary.

Dredi

Apparently I just guessed that then..

Hurray for me

Documentation improved.
