QuoteMekleb's Prophecy

Slick with aberrant juices and reportedly pulled from the depths of the Lowerdark by a particularly adventuresome (some might say foolish) explorer, this clump of papers seems pulled from a larger, absent collection - much of the contents are rambling, esoteric and wholey incomprehensible, mostly written in a bizarre cypher. Nonetheless, a gifted loremaster could derive some meaning and use from the rituals written within.

Of particular note are the last few pages, which are utterly clear and precise in their meaning, though it is clear that the hand that penned it must have shaken terribly; "... and in the time since I have committed myself to the Count's charge have I observed in the stars that which I feared would come to pass: the complete and utter disaster which has assaulted me again and again in my dreams. A world going dark, and then engulfed by some even greater darkness... of late I feel a queer sense of clearness about my mind, as if standing at the precipice of destiny. I anticipate the Count's emissaries soon - though if I have read the portents right I will almost certainly be having other visitors before then."

QuoteTinkerer's Goggles

A rather heavy, garishly purple pair of goggles emblazoned with the sigil of a crow rampant. Despite the wonderful construction allowing greater manipulation of one's tools and engineering prowess, they are barely worth wearing for the alarm enchantment the original owner had placed upon them.

Special Effect: Once worn, a thin, nasally voice continually echoes from the goggles. It says; "You are now wearing the goggles of Keyan Caermyn, which are emphatically not yours to own, much less sully with your simian eyes. Remove the goggles from your pea-brained head at once and return them to me, care of the Crow's Nest Tavern outside of Mistlocke. Idiot."

This continues on and on and on and can be heard by anyone in the vicinity.

QuoteTracksman's Long Bow

An exceptionally well made long bow bearing the sigil of a tall stag. The name "V. Gawlor" is carved near the end of the lower limb. It is a weathered thing, but has an air of hoary old pride about it.
