Feel free to use this thread to toss in interesting item ideas for use as ambient or quest loot in EFU:R.

Loot with an interesting flair, loot that isn't too powerful, loot that is equivalent to existing loot may be incorporated into EFU.

When thrown with enough force at something this pale fleshy strand will start to rapidly grow and spread exerting all it's energy and life in a brief moment of rapid growth.

Description: Wielded by the runners of the machine, the halfling population often hosts daring, and dangerous contests through the rail-lines of the Machine, seeing if they can beat the machinery to the otherside and to safety. Some have even gone so far as to run relay races, and each baton is enchanted to ensure success- or at the very least, a fighting chance!

Description: A piece of purple crystal ground down to have an edge. It is slowly losing its indigo glow.

unique power: casts cure light wounds on hit. (Like purple crystal arrows)

Description: A piece of purple crystal ground down to have an edge. Its unique shape which allows it to maintain a permanent charge of positive energy makes it somewhat unwieldy to some.
Stats: no damage

unique power: casts cure light wounds on hit. (Like purple crystal arrows)

Cornugon

Name: Faerzress contaminated (projectile)
Weapon: Dart, Arrow, Bolt

Description: An irregularly shaped crystal glowing a sickly violet, fashioned into (projectile). It appears very brittle and thin.

Stats:
No Damage (The crystal will shatter on impact, and is too small to inflict real damage)

On Hit: Spell failure x% (would need to be custom scripted, though)

Knight Of Pentacles

Name: Chronicles of Squidima
Item: Book
Description: A thin book bound with the leather of beholderflesh. It is illustrated with many pictures of the infamous Calishite alienist and her tentacled cohort Kreil Gotek embarking on epic adventures in the Underdark. Gotek lashes violently at a drow swordmaster in an arena while being observed by all manner of strange creatures.  Most notably an illithid with his hands clasped together in subtle amusement.  The duo creep towards  tall, imposing monoliths of alien architecture while a beholder cackles madly in the background.   Most curious of all the illustrations is the mage and Gotek standing among black and red robed wizards and a faltering animatron as wererats pour in from the darkness.  The following page shows almost the same exact scene but distorted as what appears to be a gem falls to the ground and erupts with a brilliant light.   The book ends telling how she transcended her mortality after a number of harrowing adventures above and below before escaping to the mainland where she became as legend.

Description: A large wooden hammer used during carnivals and fairs to play a number of games. Most notably "wack-a-kobold" where a number of kobolds are placed into a den with multiple exits.  The object of the game is to wack as many of the lizards in the head as possible before they flee.

Description: Drow are notorious for their poisons and most infamous is the sleeping poison they cover the little bolts they put into small wrist crossbows. Containing an extremely potent sleeping venom they can put even the hardy into a deep sleep.. Of course they can be thrown with just as much effect, if a bit less accurate.

That'd make more sense as dodge AC, wouldn't it?

Actually, just apply slow to the user and give +5 ac/+3 ab +2 reflex -2 will.

So it turns into a net gain of:

+1 ac +2 ab +2 reflex

While it does:

Removes an attack per round/-2 will

Represents preplanned blows, ac due to increased reflexes, reflex for the same reason, will reduction for being slow minded, and attack reduction for forethought to blows.

Addiction leads to being highly twitchy when it wears off, hyper active and your mind compensating for when it thinks its on the drug. Increases speed but reduces saves across the board and reduces dex.
