Lieutenant Rennik Colmes,

They say you are the utter face of realpolitik in Ephia's Well and that you have danced every color of League from Purple, to Gold, to White and to Purple again!

While some may decry this as fickle and untrustworthy, I surmise it as something along the lines of a different kind of loyalty. Loyalty to your men, to your Sultan, to your Bey.

League politics bore you, and you are a negotiating man, willing to hear propositions for direct and blunt proposals wherein both you and the other party benefit in clear ways. This would explain your vagility in that you must at least look the part. So you don the brooch that best suits this.

Are you tired, however, of supporting dead weight, has-beens and underachievers, and somehow always receiving the short end of some twisted straw, at your expense and the expense of your men?

Then find some sense, not so common these days, and let us meet. I'm sure there is a compromise somewhere to be found for your vote and the votes of your Legion.

Yours truly,

Edmund Lothere

Seems compromises are all I'm making these days. I'm not a hard man to find, fellow. Make a call and I'll answer it if I can.

A reply is given after a brief meeting. A note left at the garrison, enclosed for the Lieutenant.

Lieutenant, I have spoken to Alexandria and she is extending to you an offer that I would beseech you not to take lightly, and to consider well.

When you provide the revision, please see to it that the entire Penal Code as you envision it is penned into writing and ink.

Do this, and in return for your support in the coming election to vote for the League of White, your proposal in full will be considered outright.

If you have any questions, you may address them next we meet.

Thank you for your time today, and until then.

Regards,

Edmund Lothere

Blue41

Prelate,

We should meet. Some things I've learned that might be of value to you, and it'll cost you nothing more than the time it takes to discuss them.

Lt. R. Colmes

Lieutenant Colmes,

I will be opposing Alexandria in the upcoming Primary of our League in the election for her seat, and you once told me that it was circumstance that bid you place your support elsewhere, and then detailed such circumstance plainly. Where do you stand now?

If there was ever a time and a place, it comes soon, and I would welcome your support as you once supported another you likened me to. In his memory, perhaps this election shall go differently.

Prelate Edmund Lothere

Prelate,

What I've heard of you since our conversation is enough to warrant another. More than a few questions that require an answer from you specifically, regardless of wherever the primaries leave you.

I'll seek you out.

Lt. R. Colmes

After some time, a response finds its way.

Lieutenant,

There are dubious claims against my person and I beseech you to dismiss them. Strong words are not to be used nor taken lightly, and though some may hate or love me and I decry them none of the mislike or geniality at times asked of these stances, I take great offense to claims of treason.

It is well known that the Absolvers were approved by Legate Achaeus during his tenure. The document scribed onto the Absolution board is no less and no more an exact replica of the document that he signed, restored through the excess of bureaucracy in his departure, whence many such documents were then lost. Scribe Kiran can attest to this.

This took place shortly after Legate Achaeus announced a meeting with Legate Sayburgh, on Iyar 17. A bellows report that supports this;

Legate Lhyrian, and you, Lieutenant, have nothing to support your claims but a bloodthirsty vendetta against what is, and has always been, a lawful and just decree by the Legates of Ephia's Well. Continue to aid in the fabrication of these so called crimes against me or Alexandria and I will be bringing this to the Bey himself, and inform him that once again Lieutenant Rennik Colmes is attempting another dubious stride to incite needless chaos in the government of the city in the midst of war.

Perhaps this is why you're no longer the Warmaster.

Good day,

Prelate Edmund Lothere
