By the decree of Legates Komemnos and Moretti, several wide-sweeping changes to the penal code were made. Below, you shall find a short synopsis on relevant changes. For anything further, seek a barrister. I am not a barrister. Please do not ask me.

Vandalism and Theft: The severity of the crime now depends on the victim's societal status. Organizational property is now always considered to be under the ownership of the organization's leaders. The accused now has to pay reparations to the victim.


Assault and Murder: The severity of the crime now depends on the victim's societal status. Exemptions to self-defence and "voluntary sport" (i.e. duels) are now noted. Previous Maiming law combined into Assault.


Treason: Seperations of severity into lese-majeste, misprision and sedition, for minor, serious and capital charges, respectively.


Desecration: The severity of the crime now depends on the victim's societal status.


Trespassing: A serious charge was added for intent of other crimes amidst the act of trespassing.


Endangerment: Permits or "licenses" for arms-bearing no longer exist. Brandishing siege weapons is now a serious charge.


Unauthorized Broadcast: The use of non-state-affliated bellows heads is now a crime.


Smuggling, Machinism, Alchemy, Archaeology, Divination, Narcotics: The previous Unlicensed Activity law has been split into multiple different ones. Narcotics licenses are now only valid for Voiced Citizens. The Smuggling law now further codifies that which is considered proper trade inside Ephia's Well. Further restrictions on alchemy have been established.


Vagrancy: Already in effect previously, now codified upon the penal code.


Public Indecency: A new law enforcing several social mores. Please do not vomit in public.


Depravity: A new law, specifically against Wyrmist activities. Speaking the Wyrm's name out loud is now a crime. No, the Wyrm's name is not "the Wyrm".
