Letter to Lyrist Aubrey

The letter is re-sent with a correction to the name, and a small note.

Aubrey,

I am not asking for anything, nor would I have any right to expect anything of you. But I know you are one of the few good women in the Well and would want to know.

This night, the Banda Rossa held me hostage to force through a political agreement with Legate Moretti. They did so boldly and in front of witnesses, including the Priory.  Condottiero Paolina Capuano stabbed me, and a Condottiero I do not know the name of held me restrained while I bled, and I was refused medical aid. Moretti was called to the Krak and the trap sprung on him there.

Whatever your feelings about me, or Dante, you know this is wrong. This is a step too far.

I had the name wrong. It was Condottiero Paolina Capuano, not that it matters much.
