The EFU DM Team presents: The Scalding!

As we approach The Scalding, we wanted to give a brief overview of what players can expect from this phase of the war. We'll be presenting some new mechanics and systems, as well as some adjustments to existing ones.

The key mechanic of the Scalding will be the War Supplies point system.
PCs will be able to find 'War Supplies' items that would randomly generate in QAs and will be able to hand them over at the war camp. There will be additional ways to supply the camp with war supplies in the future (both scripted and not).

Handing over the war supplies will do the following:
- The PC handing them over will have their 'War Camp' Favour increased by 1.
- The reset's 'Raid Supplies' counter will be increased by 1.
- The persistent War Supplies will be increased by 1.

War Supplies
Starting with the last, the Divan would be presented with options and choices on how to spend the War Supplies. A few examples of these choices are researching new weapons, increasing the raids' artillery, introducing new merchandise PCs will be able to buy at camp, and of course, major decisions about the progress of the camp.
Some of these options will include a Dinar cost as well.

Raid Supplies
Each reset has a counter that goes up each time war supplies are handed over as well. Once it reaches a certain point (that would be announced), ANY PC can use their Renown to call for an Orc Raid. The Renown cost is much higher and they won't 'break even' by completing the Raid, but attending other raids and high-level quests will replenish the renown (as before)

War Camp Favour
PCs will be able to use the new favour type to purchase consumables, equipment, and reset-only special weapons, as they're unlocked based on the progress of the War and the Divan's choices.

Raid Changes
Normal Orc Raids will be disabled during The Scalding, and instead, we'll have reskinned raids of the Citadel, Keep, and Fort. Bear in mind that these instances are harder than the originals, so make sure you have a sufficient group. The cooldowns between raids are still in effect, and each will require the sufficient raid supplies counter. Involve as many as you can!

Camp Invasions
There will be random sendings alerting on invasions of the camp. PCs will need to take defensive positions and protect the camp against the invasion. The actual invasion will only be triggered by speaking to the relevant NPC that's in charge of the camp's defenses. This will give the PCs enough time to arrive and prepare. A minimum of 10 PCs are required in the region to initiate the invasion.

As THE SCALDING progresses, more details and features will be presented, such as EPIC RAIDS, the usage of the Shards of Dawning, and more...
