Doomed-Oath,

The dead lie in their graves and the sins of yesterday mark a stain on our souls. How can we undo that? How can our debt ever be paid? Tight itself is twisted.

In the end, those accountable will pay their debts in full, but who is to say when and by whom? Only the Gods know the answers to these riddles.

I can never do right by your fallen people, but I can make sure that never again will we commit that same sin.

 There is nothing I can do to fix what was broken, return it to its previous state. But I fully intend to do two things,

1) Kill as many Orcs as I can, crush them, destroy them, and with them erase Iakmes from history.

2) Try to recover any slaves, prisoners, people that they captured and still hold. Release them, and, with some hope, restore their homes, or at least help them in doing so.

 I do not know if the same can be done for your Hold, all reports suggest its state is beyond repair. But at least I would seek to make room in the Well for any refugees we do rescue, so that they may settle here.

 It's however just hopeful thinking, because the new District is not yet finished, and our city is already surrounded by many such refugees seeking safety, and we cannot guarantee it yet, just yet.

 All I can guarantee at this time, is that all the harm the Orcs have done not just upon the Dwarves, but all people, will be answered with blood. We must meet them head on, and end their ambitions. We must make sure that there is a world to which people can return to and start rebuilding. The world, will sadly, be different, compared to what it once was, but it will continue to exist.

 The alternative to our victory, is a defeat where we, our people, all our cultures are ultimately eradicated. And we cannot allow that to happen. Iakmes' Age of Bronze cannot be allowed to come.
