Dear Nadiri Celybuin,

My apologies for not visiting of late, but I did not want you to think I have abandoned my commitment. As a pretense to our next meeting, I thought you might enlighten me on a clerical error I've noticed in a number of texts that contradict one another.

The Orentid Prince began to call himself 'Prince Iistu' and when I first came across this, I had assumed it was a name. Further studies of course relate 'Iistu' to 'Prison'. Another text claims Iistu is just Erugitic for Ephia's Well, or 'Summer Palace'.

I was told that it is tradition in the Great Ring for any seeking the full honors of a scholar to write a short thesis on the subject, but I am at a loss of what is true and what is woven tale. I would quite enjoy a lesson on this, that goes beyond what I've read in the histories, but your own theories and conclusions.

Besides, I hope you are keeping in good health, considering. If time allows it I shall visit you tonight.

Not a woe at all, nor a problem. I know well it is the scholar's fancy to find themselves away. And why I myself am somewhat stalled in returning this missive. Such aside - It is good though as you begin to dig into the history of the Great Ash you begin to unravel some of the dilemma.

What we are working with, as we spoke in previous, is a number of imitative cultures rather than innovative. These are men and women who having found what they believe a translation of a true text extrapolated leaps and bounds.

Think of it akin to passing tea from the bag to the pot of water and water to the cup. Both begin as separated entities, but the more they are moved back and forth each time they begin to dilute the proverbial pot. Or does one begin to realize the Cup is chipped? Or that the Pot is made poorly and lacing odd and unpleasant minerals?

As an exercise in theory, take for consideration: An Orentid found Tablet that disproves or claims Baz'eelan falsehood from a Caliphat Tablet that were studied and deciphered from an Egruitic Tablet.

Where does one begin to decipher the "Degrees" of right or wrong?

Did the Orentid scholar with a poorer education than the illustrious Baz'eelan translator misplace a word? Did the Baz'eelan Scholar on his laurels of his father's generational wealth care more for status of such a translation than the validity, to take a short cut in the translation from the Erugitic? Did either of their translations completely miss the spirit of the written word taking it instead at face value?

Over and over these questions such as yours will arise. For example there are even those who say, blasphemously, that Iistu is simply the name of the Library of the Giants and where the word "Izdu" originated was a bastardized translation of Iistu to Izdu. If you slowly and with care pronounce each word they are strikingly similar.

It's an arduous thing, and can be tedious and frustrating, but I hope that lends some insight.

I am of course glad to speak more of such a topic in person when our paths cross anew.
