Task:Arcanoxenobiologician's primer on transmutation for Abberant Grafting
Summary: Per request of the Wizard Vilia the follow research is compiled in regards to the practice of Aberrant Grafting. An undertaking which is known in many circles as a questionable craft but in the pursuit of purely theoretical research the following is provided.

The Aberrant

On a fundamental level the Aberrant are an esoteric biologic created by means of both irradiative magics and raw arcane energy. Mutation occurs in the flesh, blood, mind, and entire entity in question. The degree of mutation is difficult to gauge without direct specimen however it is said that often times "seeds" or "eggs" of small aberrant flesh implanted in a live host result in radicalized corruption. A gradation effect would see the infection spread from the implantation site and overtime endeavor to consume the Host entirely. This leads to all manner of concern in regards to morality and religious undertaking as the profanity of flesh is viewed as heretical in many circle.

A great many Aberrations are known to have existed in the previous world but with the collision of the disks the label of Aberrant itself is fluid. Typically described as entities of discolored and unnatural blood, tentacle, globular flesh, and more.

The Strange Object

Within Alchemical circles the Strange Object is just that - a blue and at times glowing irradiated chunk of flesh often in odd strips of muscle fiber or sinew attached. It sits widely outside the realm of physical existence and even to the laymen may be described as "Askew", "Wrong", or "Disturbing".

Through alchemical principle and practice the Kernel of aberrant flesh may be fed raw magic, living tissue, raw organic mass (Blood, bone powder, similar) - and from such begin to reignite in new shape and form. Ultimately resulting in distressing but not entirely unpowerful creations of a magical nature mixed with biologic connections. These range from simple tools of use to more bizzare and visceral esoterica. As well as means by which a Conjurer may proliferate or propagate further mutation.

The Magic Eater

An odd creature, the Magic Eater is said to sense not by the seven standard senses but by a parasitic psychic connection to the Magic emanating from the Celestial  Disc. Similar to the wave of Tides tied to the Celestial Disk they are able to ebb and flow at times in great swarms towards localization of Arcane energy. It is known that as they feed and grow upon the energy of the Disc they proceed through a lifecycle growing larger and more dangerous - just how large or dangerous is not something seen documented.

These entities of Abberant nature though exude magic themselves while consuming it. A truly parasitic organism capable of hunting, killing, and feasting upon the practicioners of magic as well as believed to consume in times of famine magic upon items akin to wood-feasting termites, or even akin to Spiders of partaking in wanton cannibalism of lesser Magic Eaters.

Abberant Grafting

The practice of Abberant Grafting is not one that can be ethically recommended. Implating kernal of Abberant flesh within the being presents a half-life upon the biologic entity as the more powerful Abberant magics and drive for propagation would inevitably consume the host.  That being said in the pursuit of desperate efforts of War it may be under duress a considered avenue comparable to any other wartime action in which morality gives way to survival.

In regards to the Magic Eater itself, per inquiry, such a creature would be drawn to magical energies. A Sorceror's blood would be a catalyst of unforseen proportions akin to adding Maepalm to a grease fire. However a Wizards more measured means and calculated efforts may be able to mitigate the negative effects provided that proper preparation is undertaken and due caution in the pursuit of such a Grafting.

Runic inhibitors upon a joint to prevent spread over a certain point, mechanized containment vessels embedded in the flesh to contain such an infection locally, and additional considerations are worthy of thought before anything moves from theory to practicum.
