A simple letter, sealed with wax, addressed to Yataghan, care of the Kha'eshi Embassy.

Great Serdar Yataghan,

The Janissaries have, unfortunately, gone native on me.

Apparently utilizing the chain of command and delegating the task of informing him to his subordinates is a step too far for this upjumped detective to tolerate.

As a result, I have been removed from the War Council. As a result of this, La Banda Rossa has pulled her support from the Well's war efforts.

I have something of a gambit going now. We'll return to the Well's aid just as soon as they make me the Warmaster.

I'm sure the Janissaries will get bloodied and bruised by refusing this. But we're ready, willing and able to pick up a contract or two if there's things you need done.

Obviously, it is not in either of our interests for this place to fall to Iakmes and his collection of savages.

We should break bread and drink of wines and soon, and in our feasting merrily discuss the future still to come.

What we will do with the prize, the movements of the Clans, and other developments here at home.
