Beloved Balladeers,

I write to you at my own behest in regards to the Dervish of the Wanderer, Bajica Gilleni. He was exiled rightly from our home by Balladeer Alain some months past for his speaking out of Lyricist Lynneth's shrine. A contention on the nature of Warad's faith; he still holds his position but no longer seeks the removal of the shrine. His stance changed months ago, yet his exile remains in effect.

He explains to me that Balladeer Aurelio wishes two thousand dinar for the exile's lifting. However he expresses some dismay at this as he reports he is bound to an oath of poverty as a Dervish.

I would humbly ask that you please consider removing his exile from the Krak. He has respected the exile since it was placed, and I have personally witnessed him patrolling outside our gate hunting bandits and other vile monsters that would harm the refugees. He has gallantly protected my sister-acolyte Itziyal in a skirmish with a hobgoblin warparty and has otherwise been respectful and courteous upon the road.

The Dervish has not asked me to write to you, nor has he sought the lifting of the exile. I have however witnessed his good character and merely wish for the final part of an old grievance to be at last buried.

It is however entirely your right to bar him and I will say no more on the matter should you wish his exile to remain in effect.

Faithfully Yours,
Acolyte Zoe

Acolyte,

Alain was a boorish Golden miscreant with a rotting morality. I also feel that shrine has taken on unfortunate iconoclastic significance to those who never knew Lynneth in her living days.

He is banned from the Krak? For what specific offense against her shrine?

Bid him seek me over bellows. I will speak to him about the situation.

Aurelio has agreed to lift the ban when next he is in the citadel, on the promise that Bajica will abandon his violent pursuits towards the shrine.
