Regarding your poetry the other day for the fallen.

* Caddy fell on the line of duty to bring back Legate Marcellus from below

* The Fourth the will remember him as a man steadfast in his duties, putting duty before death and death before dishonor

* Caddy to me was a fellow Soldier, a Sergeant in arms, a friend and most importantly he was a brother.

Sergeant Reyer,

Thank you for your words on the fallen. Janissary Lightdew contributed some recollections as well. Below is the result, my work:

Of Sergeant Cavanaugh, called "Caddy"

A man of sturdy, stalwart form;
Who answered fast the Well's command;
And up the axe, into the storm;
The vanguard ever his to stand.

That into the lightless halls he strode;
Into the deep, menace's abode;
With clarion light, companions bold;
He cut the way through darkness' hold.

When at the final bitter place;
They struck him there a mortal blow;
And stood he there at death's embrace;
No failing face would he there show.

He meets the Martyrs writ in fame;
For Legate saved now lifts his name.
