----------

Dominique was a mess inside. Contrary to her tough exterior and devout faith to Tempus, she harbored a lot of pain resulting from guilt she felt over the death of her brother Darcanis at the hands of an illithid. Her identical twin sister, Corana (who was also equally strong in combat), never forgave Dominique for the series of events that led up to it. So her pain was doubly bad. It was made worse because she never got to make amends with her twin before ending up in Sanctuary.

She took out her pain in the way of constantly sparring against or training everyone she could find in town. She tried writing a journal, at the behest of her ceased brother prior to his death, but it never felt totally right to her.

Her Sembian heritage allowed her to have some beauty (curves, breasts, skin, 11 CHA), but her upbrining was a confusing one. Her father was a smith's apprentice and her mother was a baker. She lvoed her father and mother equally, but their personalities couldn't be more apart. This was the reason Dominique would flip between brutish, rude and sentimentality. To complicate things, she also was highly intelligent [14 int] which was often overlooked or discounted because she could smash things better than most people.

Because of the confusion at home, she turned to something outside it for stability: religion. She found that the church of tempus was a good fit. When the darkening came, she and her sister were all that was left as they fled across the lands defending a group of refugees.

When she arrived in Sanctuary by pure accident, she struggled to find a place. She had few friends that she trusted. But when she did, it was a motely group: a halfling paladin, a human necromancer, a one-armed half-orc and a bi-polar rogue who later vanished. She took the title of "Warfighter", a mid-level rank in her church, so as to inspire others to take up arms against the Dread Army and to remind herself of what everyone faced.

She fought as hard as she drank and that meant many private moments where she cried herself to sleep unseen from the rest of the population.

Sanctuary tested her faith though and she began to fall away from the teachings of Tempus, something that he took notice of immediately and cursed her forever as a permanent reminder. This sank her into an even deeper depression, one she struggled with nearly every outing. Then, finally, an opportunity appeared where she was able to lead a group to the surface where they retook a Tempuran outpost and defeated a Drow House Matron and it's massive enthralled army. The victory netted her a battleflag touched, before her very eyes, by the God of War himself.

This battleflag, worn as a mantle, was what she needed....a token to prove her efforts, and her brothers death, was not in vain.

She joined the Auxiliary for the sole purpose of using their resources to fund her own personal army. She never fully trusted the mages of the Spellguard and had to bite her tounge on more than one occassion. She amassed a huge amount of supplies that she regularly used to save the collective asses of whatever group she was with, often giving the impression she was invincible, when

OOCly, she was my very first character to ever hit level 10. Ironically, her build was based on a previous character I had played in EFU1 and for a while I didn't take her concept seriously because I felt I had made a cheap knock off.

However, she was a goddamn blast to play. From her RP to combat, to even stranger things. The number of players and characters she interacted with were too great to try and remember them all. Yeah, I know, it sounds like a cop out, but it's not. So many people interacted with her to help me flesh out who she was that I can't point a finger at a few here and there and feel like I'm giving proper credit. Each little interaction, built her reputation and persona.

I will miss her greatly and I can't reveal many of the details of her death, but all things have to come to an end eventually.

Dom wasn't beholden to her faith's traditional colors so she tried to buy and make things that matched her hair color:

However Dominique had issues of faith when she first arrived in Sanctuary. Her depression affected her combat ability and motivation. The result was a a stern scolding from a god (curse effects in next screenshot):
[hide=Tempus himself cursed her][/hide]

A long while later, after many moments of being beaten unconscious and suffering at the hands of her curse, she was given a chance at redemption. A lightstone, found on a Drow in the badlands turned out to be a magical portal to the surface when activated in the Lightstone viewing room. There, on the surface, a Drow army pressed down on a Tempurran held outpost. In a battle that involved nearly 35+ PC's and lasted nearly 45 IRL minutes, Dominique led them to victory over hundreds of Drow and a House Matron. This would be among her finest moments and granted her an item that was blessed, on the spot, by Tempus himself.

With her faith restored and her curse alleviated, though not removed, she found a renewed energy and purpose: train everyone for war.

Dominique held vigils for the warriors that had died prior to her, including holding a festival for the only important holy day in the Tempurran faith. She did this as much for reverance and respect as she did to try and wash away the last of her guilt about her brothers bravery in his final moments and to ask Tempus to watch over her twin sister whom she believed to still be alive on the surface.

Dominique also decided that the only way she could win the war against the Illithid was to create an army. Her plan? To cuddle up to the only group with enough money, resources and equipment to fund it: The Spellguard. So she joined the Auxiliary. She hated being under the boot of the Agents and had plans to kill nearly every one she met, however fate always seemed to get in the way and they would die before she could get a chance to do the deed herself.

While she made a lot of enemies being part of the Spellguard's Auxiliary, she also tried her best to hold on to friendships, even ones that seemed impossible to advance.

When it came to combat, above all else, she was honorable and felt that no enemy was worth facing unless they were at their best.

When honor and combat were mixed, nothing rammed home this fact than when Bhartho, the surfacer, arrived and challenged her to combat. Despite his threats to 'break her', she held her own but through unfortunate circumstances, a Watcher PC slew him in cold blood.
