[A young, nameless and personalitiless Student is seen rushing from the College of Balladeers. His decisiveness lasts for a few moments, as he gets distracted midway on his way out of the Krak by one fight, three negociations and a performance of "The Buttock's Trial: A Story Retold". Eventually, however, he emerges into the Plaza, and makes his way to he Pyramid where two similar letters are left for the Legates to read.]

My friends,

It is my understanding that the Beast entrapped by the Astronomer-Legionare expedition continues to roar, calling forth horrifying monsters that endanger the lives of quite a few people.

I would like to invite you to consult with the Priory. I remember they offered to banish such Beast, and perhaps they are still able to do so...

In the meantime, perhaps you would like to know that Balladeer Narwen is composing a song that may perhaps win us some respite. Her idea is that these creatures are in constant /agony/ - as you know, our beautiful Narwen has an endless empathy, like most Children of the Gift. She has designed a song based on an ancient tune I helped translate, "The Song of the Wellfolk". We theorize that such a lullaby, charged with a chorus of bardic magic, could pacify the beast at least temporarily... For anything that suffers has a heart, and everything that suffers is, secretly, hoping to rest.

Needless to say, given the current situation she is neither allowed nor willing to go to the Mount. But if that were to change, we'd be happy to prepare a Chorus and try to improve our situation. It certainly can't make it much worse.
