Dear Writer,

We only met once, but Galen was a trusted associate. I am greatly saddened by his passing, engineered by the Astronomers of Q'tolip to weaken my seat and influence as a result of my stance against them. I am pleased to see your desire to hold them accountable.  Of note is their claim that he was a Brooker. I dispute this, knowing what we do of Brookers (Such as Marl Marlson) their foul patrons often retaliate when they are slain or in mortal danger.

I am told by witnesses to his death, that nothing was amiss or strange, until the Astronomers arrived to "examine" his corpse. They have been known to have interest in framing others for brooking. For this, I speak of the mad Nadiri known as "Bloodhand" a mage obssessed with blood, who was tasked with finding a way to falsely implicate individuals as brookers.  He was killed by the Astronomers, though they claim it was suicide.  I had thought his work a failure, but perhaps not, given the accounts that Galen's blood became active after the Astronomers' arrival?
