*A letter written with careful hand*

Esteemed Nadiri Zain,

I have read with great interest your thesis on Aspectal Affinity, and found it exceedingly fascinating. I must commend you, not only for conducting such an interesting and necessary (if a tad tedious) research, but for making it readily availible to the general public. Far too many thesis are restricted to the Tower, which sadly prevents the outer world from fully appreciating your colleague's efforts.

I would like to invite you to a conversation in the College. As you may know, we run a small printshop, and I'd be delighted to add your tome to our shelves. As you can imagine, many an adventurer would find it exceedingly useful.

Needless to say, I fully understand that the obligations of a Nadiri are many, so I hope the Bribe I have prepared shall be equal to the great kindness you'd do me with your visit.

Yours,

Alejandro Benjazar

Runic

[The Response is curt and brief. Blunt and to the point.]

Master Benjazar,

I am humbled by your invitation and praise of my work. I have seen the works your printing press has released adorning the shelves of the Krak and congratulate you for your success.

I must however, decline your offer. Izdu, the Father, teaches us that knowledge is to be shared with all. I note that all of your printed works cost coin to purchase. I would not bar a man knowledge for the small cost of a handful of coins. If any wish to seek my work, I will happily gift them a copy, at my own personal expense.

I would humbly ask you gift the prepared bribe to Narwen Alendiel for her efforts to aid the sick in the Tablet. Humble apologies to disappoint.

Signed;
Zain al-Saiba
Nadiri of the Tower of Q'tolip.

Esteemed Nadiri Zain,

I of course understand your concern. It is my belief that 10 dinari is a reasonable price - being, in fact, but the cost of materials. If I made such an offer was, in no small part, because I believe that your work will reach more people this way. Sadly, not many peruse the shelves and tomes scattered in the City, but many come to the College.

Needless to say, should you change your mind the College's print remains at your disposal.

As for the bribe, I am of course already supporting my colleague's endeavours. Furthermore, my Bribe is not one of mere coin. I have long been of the opinion that proper respect and Charity is shown by finding bribes more appropriate (and valuable) than dinari. I hope you shall still allow me the honor of giving it to you, if only as a most deserved tribute to your hard work.

Yours,

Alejandro Benjazar

[Another response, curt and brief.]

Master Benjazar,

If you wish lay bribes at my feet I can do little to stop such, but my answer remains the same.

Humble apologies to disappoint.

Signed;
Zain al-Saiba
Nadiri of the Tower of Q'tolip.
