While talk of incoming Swarm, and Caravan, and more circulates came a sizeable assembly. Legate Zaniah seemingly given free reign of affair while Legate Sol Auk remained mostly merely present to the precedings.

QuoteAaisha al-Samar
Of the Assembly of Tabbah 17th, IY 7787. The Following is Announced. From the Legates: No Member of any Accorded faction shall be allowed to Campaign for the Seat of Legate. Carved without Opposition. The Matters of the Refugee Caravan, discussed with the Voiced.

Proposed by Baladeer Alejandro, A yet unwritten Law of the Banning of the selling of people, either as conscripts, bound labourers, or slaves, within the well or to other city states. Deferred until next assembly. So ends the Announcements of the Assembly.

The meeting opened with announcement from both Legate, citing Baz'eel's support, for the banning of Legate Candidate from the Accord Signatories.

Then came the crux of matter with the Swarm - While Voiced were able to raise concern and question, as well as Ambassadors from the Emir of Ka'esh and and Maharaja of Qadira making rare appearance to voice their concerns to Legate Zaniah over being left out of the loop on matters,  Legate Zaniah bid to swear and promise to see Ephia's allies in the Free Cities kept appraised of matter. At which point Sol Auk announced Legate Zaniah's agreement to the return of Ephia sending Voiced Ambassadors beyond. The Ambassador of Qadira shouting plainly "Shut up Stonefolk" to some amusement of the crowd. The Stonefolk continued to share that Voiced may come with interview for position provided expected charity paid.

Then came deluge of question from Nasreen of Baz'eel, Sephidra of the Torchbearers, Scribe Marcellus nearly causing international feud with the Qadiran Envoy's guard for insult upon the Maharaja and claims of betraying the Sultan, questions from the Balladeers Lynneth and Alejandro, and Apothar Cosinelikewise,.

As the floor opened to the Public did Minister Alexandria a newly raised voice of the "Order of the Stele" speak of requesting five of the refugees to come be offered - but was cast aside by the Purple Legate for matters unfitting Assembly.

Then came Ex-Candidate of the White League with a declaration of banishment of sale of Conscript and Slave. As he took time to draft the Law into parchment the Legates debated the freedom of trade against the rights of others - Slavery mutally agreed as abhorrent but the situation of Mirit the Bound and more debated.

However amidst the debates - came unexpected announcement. That Princess Shalil's vessel was dispatched from Baz'eel and on the way.

With an unusual alacrity - mid finalizing a law against Conscription and Slavery, did Sol Auk declare the Princess must be received.

A coterie of dozens of Voiced, and Voiceless onlookers alike, made for the Eagle's Mount.

...an Impromptu Cardgame even breaking out of Royal Dragon as the Princess' arrival awaited. Many minutes passed, almost an hour.

...Yet she did not come. In a massive deflation of all tension it was announced she wasn't upon the ship.

Merely her ship sent.

Many of the Voiced confused, some flustered and annoyed they lost their chance to speak at Assembly, and all this for... nothing.

Tune swiftly changed though as word came - Lieutenant Colmes would be dispatched with a party to investigate the Caravan, the so called Swarm. Accompanied by one of the Astronomers, one of the Balladeer, the Torchbearers, and his men.

...the results of which still unknown to the public...

...Perhaps more Assembly to come on the matter.
