Lieutenant

I find myself aghast at the conduct of your Soldier, Averroes Tashfhin.

I had called earlier to the Scribal Office Yomar ag-ka-em Kamarya, a weaponsmith who had been performing Unlicensed Machining Experimentation with intent to sell. He was offered Merchanting and Machinist's Licenses at standard price (300 and 600 Respectively, with 50 Dinari of Charity traditionally offered for swift service), even offered Reimbursed Charity to be able to afford them, with the understanding that leaving without them would require I report him for Unlicensed Activity. He declined, and reported to the Barracks willingly as a good citizen of the well should.

I was called myself to the Barracks not long after where I attended Propmpty. There, without even greeting, it was demanded of me why I was attempting to sell a Merchant's License at a thousand Dinari.
I corrected this obvious mistake at once, and in irritation at her own lack of actual investigation into the facts of the matter was searched by Tashfhin, who found of course nothing illegal but made sure to re-arange or otherwise disturb every item I had on my person at the time.

She then claimed that, despite Yomar's open confessions of action and intent over the Bellows, no crime had been committed.

I informed her of her General Incompetence, provided a generous fine as is proper as Verbal Taunting is prohibited, and left. Whereupon she publically refused to even accept the fine, simply leaving it to be taken by the first to attend her.

I have spoken before of my respect for you, and the work you perform, but Soldiers such as this represent you poorly.
I would politely request you see her learn the proper respects, and to investigate fully before leveling accusations, especially at the Citizenry of Baz'eel.

Lieutenant

I understand that this must be a troubling time, to see one of your own cast out as an exile for treason.

I am glad at least that I made you aware of the warning signs, of her open disregard for the culture and status of Baz'eel, it's citizens, and it's traditions.

I hope in future such warnings recieve some form of response as I am sure this demonstrates that I know of what I speak, and such a thing might have been construed as you simply casting such warnings aside.
I'm sure you were infact just weighed down by the burdens of your duties, and that Tashfhin's much delayed charging for her obvious radical bent is in no way reflective upon you.

Keep up the good work.

Scribe Aaisha,

As I'm sure you are no doubt aware of, the process of integration for many refugees is a difficult and taxing process. I know it certainly was for me.

Please be assured that while the duties and rigors of the work do not always allow for a personal response to every letter sent, I do read everything addressed to me.  Tashfhin's callous disregard for the law when it pleased her was not a new development, as your letter has made clear.

She will never commit such an error again.
