Mari

Legate Sol Auk,

I am given to understand the march against the Djinn proceeded, and not without deaths and perhaps worse.

We have only their word that the survivors are untouched, but in an abundance of caution it may be prudent to consider the fitness of those candidates who have attended this march and the risk they might pose. One can deceive in the short term certainly, and with them all now returned and flushed to corners of the Well without quarantine, a timely accounting and assessment is not possible.  And one might imagine the risk inherent to one possibly tainted going about the well collecting signatures, collecting names.

Mark, too, my concern that doubtless many of them carried their petitions, a roll of the Well, with them into whatever djinn pit they did battle and what mischief might have- or might yet- come of this.

I commend their successes- for I mark Amelie as a worthy servant of the Wheel- and I will mark the absence left by Lojir- but sentimentality is a secondary concern to matters of the safety of the Well. What measures are within your power here, I do not fully know. Barring those involved from conducting and participating in campaigns for this cycle- at least- giving time for a full accounting and full assessment- seems prudent at this juncture.

-Mari Blacke, High Priestess of Gellema.

After announcement of Inquisition, Sol Auk can be seen entering the Janissary Garrison.

The letter from Mari Blacke is left for Sergeant Rennik Colmes, alongside a note

Quoteinquisitor Colmes,

If so needed can Magistrate Qari attest, or records from the Scribes of last evening, attest that Sol Auk encouraged all to revoke their candidacy prior to risking themselves in such an overture with Magistrate Qari standing by his side.

Furthermore as was known by Apothar Cosine there was a Djinn Incursion into Ephia's Well in pursuit of "Creating an Urn" as he overheard the Apothar tell you in passing at the Krak de Rose.

While the Rose is free of implication from such a thing - It lends that the Apothar knew of this incursion and learned of such a time he was beyond the Krak de Rose.

A rough list of those known at present -

Candidate Isabella
Candidate-Balestriere Kythaela
Candidate-Balladeer Lynneth
Balladeer Velan Volandis
Apothar Estilise Azimi
Canididate-Apothar Cosine
Candidate-Apothar Lojir
Candidate Pirouette, Deceased

The combination of Officer, Voiced, and Candidate lend to much consideration.

The extent of the charges, Your superiors may be considered and this matter yours to execute.

Need all Four surviving's petitions be confiscated pending investigation, such calamitous judgement expelling them as potential Candidate?

Be it simple Serious Brooking for those who embarked beyond to "Bind" the creature to the Urn? Or Capital Brooking for those who comissioned or knew of the Urn's creation in Ephia's Borders?

Be it Treason for risking Six Candidates of Ephia's Governance, including the lists of all the combined names six of them carry? Regardless of the two whom perished, all were risked by so many Accord Officers showing lapse in judgement.

These questions many, these questions severe, and these questions must be handled with care.

To this end shall upon the fourth day from now Wroth be raised as Patron of Ephia's Well.

May you, your superiors, with the aid of Wroth and the Stability of the Sultanate, ensure a debacle of this magnitude never occur anew.

Dictated but not read for Inquisitorial understanding,
LEGATE SOL AUK
