Sisters and Acolytes,

I have commended to Nebtu a copy of the letter that I wrote for you and for the Grandmaster. That I should not die entirely in vain, leaving some portion of the Cinquefoil tale untold, for though I do not dwell among you the Quest is ever at my heart. The Pilgrim shall be found. The Chalice shall be realized.

But my Foe has won a victory over one I put trust in. Through him It shall see me destroyed all the more swiftly--a matter of months has been reduced to weeks, or more likely, days. This plan that I have wrought with the aid and guidance of my learnings at the Priory and from Kulamet lore is as follows:

  • First, we shall travel to an island upon the Sea of Pearls, where stands exposed amid the rock a great molten space.
  • Second, we shall see to the attention of this Fleshwrapper and draw it into battle upon the stone.
  • Third, we shall place this Thing's viscera into a crucible, a vessel, and burn away that which we do not seal.
  • Fourth, we shall place the sealed vessel into this lake of fire, where it shall burn forevermore.

This is complicated, but not undone, by the failure of one I trusted. Acolyte Nebtu should say more. Know that I am not marked and it has not yet claimed me. Write to me at the cavern off of the High Road, beneath the tower, if you would leave word for me.

Before I came to the Priory, I was a huntress; surviving in the sands by my own cunning and the will of Fierce Kula. Know with certainty that this Foe is terrible. But at this moment, I need a vessel to hold the ruined form of my Enemy after I smite It low.

Yours,

Amelie
