Your desire to help Amelie Terrois bespeaks your many virtues: honour, compassion, loyalty and courage. And undoubtedly, her best hope for salvation rests in you.

As your ally, I would, however, be failing in my own duties if I did not caution you.

The danger we are dealing with here is very dire. In this, I speak with the weight of those greater than myself.

You must not for a moment underestimate the vortex of peril which surrounds Terrois, nor fail to realize that it may yet grow into a storm, which may envelop you, and others, as it has enveloped her.

Understand that you place yourself, your colleagues and allies, and Ephia's Well itself, in potential danger, by taking on the risk of being yourself turned into an instrument of dark powers that remain beyond our ken.
