Stimulus, Interim Legate, New Assembly

On the heels of last evenings riotous activities, and the Princess' visit, came as promised 3 changes to the Souk of Salt and Spices offering three very different stimulus efforts

The Labor of Governance resumes. As promised yesterday, comes three announcement today to assist and grow the businesses of the Souk of Salt and Spices. Business as ever is done by three methods: Management positions, Available Property, and Contractual Opportunity.

The first of Management Position. Voiced Hubert Brickson's Kitchen holds no small space for space and stage. A Voiced Performer of no small talent is sought to assist in entertaining clients and managing events. Success in this role should a Troupe leader come forward may lead to position as Minister

Secondly sit no shortage of property available. Similar to the Galayn Perch the rooftop of the Souk offers a chance for rooftop lounge and respite. An enterprising Voiced who wishes to refurbish the space, or sponsor advertisement therein, may do so.

Equally if any Merchant wishes to rent long term a Stall of their favored choosing, given priority position or the ability to seek the Janissary to drive off squaters from their favored stall, may submit petition at the Palatial Pyramid to negotiate costs.

Third and finally comes contractual opportunity. Any merchant searching to bolster their income and expand their enterprise, should they be in possession of Narcotic License, may secure governmental supply contract from Ephia's surplus. Interested parties may leave word. Live and Drink.

Offers of new Ministerial position potentially focusing upon Arts and Culture, offers of properties of Rooftop Lounge and "Renting" stalls for extended investment by Merchant, and... narcotic supply from the Government itself.

The quiet morning though gave way to a rise in rhetoric through out the day as the Balladeers did as they do best and took to composing prose, poetry, and propaganda against "King Sol Auk", some saying even an effigy raised in the Verdant Stage.

Retaliation was minimal, but seemed to cut to the heart of matters -

In a week's time. Or perhaps two. There will begin the campaigning.. but that is not important in the here and now! In the here and now, we must have order and stability. And I, the Great Rashid al-Rashid, have been appointed to dole it out!

I shall serve as Interim Legate, to assist master Sol Auk in ratifying and legitimizing his works. Yes, by order of the Princess Faziima, this will be so! So please, for the night, let us be peaceful!

With the naming of an Interim-Legate, amidst the howls of the College of Balladeers, could a massive retinue of Cinquefoil Rose be seen making for the Palatial Pyramid

There they awaited, until both Legates appeared cordial and friendly. To usher them to a private session in the Chamber of Rule.

While there is talk of voices raised, Human and Ashfolk alike, the dull sonorous tones of Sol Auk remain unwaivered.

In the aftermath came announcement - Assembly, with proper prayer given hopefully not as sabotaged as the previous.

And so too, it seems, comes some semblance of restoration. As two Legates sit upon the Chamber of Rule.

...and after ten long years, sits Rashid al-Rashid, firmly upon the cushioned throne...

The raising of Interim Legate Rashid al-Rashid seems to have calmed the storm that were a-brewing... in two days time, another Assembly shall be held. There, the Voiced shall raise their concerns. Astoundingly, the curmudgeonly bookworm seems to have proven a savvy politician.
