The Scribes saw open the doors, and at last the Voiced given chance to see themselves Heard.
Asterabadi's grand experiment, messy as it may be, on full display.
Sol Auk commences with declaration

As the Scribes have said.
The time at last for the General Assembly. Come.
Come my Voiced, come and be heard. Come and rule.
Come commence the Labor of Assembly.
The Doors open now.

Quote from: DM ShoutFolk from all over the Well flock to the Chamber of Rule to attend the latest Assembly.
The third after the selection of Gellema to stand upon the Stele and the Allotment of funds.
This one, it is said, shall deal with all manner of other issues that shall be raised by the many Voiced...

The Assembly is called to order and is under way.
While Voiced are the only ones permitted to raise proposals, the Assembly is said to be open to all who wish to observe.
And indeed, though there once were three chairs occupied,
Legate Sol Auk presides from John Syter's old seat of Gold.

Murmurs and rumors flow from the Palatial Pyramid,
as it is said there was a great cacophony over a proposal made on brooking.
Very words stolen from the air.
Some look to the Gellemede with fear or hate while others murmur in quiet conspiracy of djinni influence.

Now the assembly is moved onto other contentious matters,
that strange effect seems to have been lifted, and the ordinary business proceeds apace.

Murmurs from the Palatial Pyramid as Velan Volandis, Hero,
is said to have performed a fine string of rhymes,
decrying the tedium of the affairs of governance.
A few of his supporters and/or admirers shuffle into the Pyramid at the word that he is present.

Murmurs and rumor from the Assembly there is word of spellfire and incantations.
The Legate is placed under heavy ward.
Muttering of 'Itaja' and the cursed name of the Wyrm are levied
... and it is said that the Astronomers suspect an assassin in the crowd.

Murmurs again from the Assembly as the Legate is brazenly disrespected by the outspoken Balladeer of the College, Aubrey Domergue.
As news is carried to the streets of the Well,
many among the Whites renew their fuming furor over the incredible claim...

... that Legate Sol Auk bought anywhere from twelve to fifteen votes to win his seat.
Mutters of an illegitimate process abound, but the Golds dismiss these as loser's talk, for all were fairly counted.

A swirling cacophony from the Stele of Law and soon enough, writ upon it, is the 'Accord Election Act.'

Upon the Stele is carved:
'Member of the Accord -
Cinquefoil or Astronomer, of any rank must resign if they intend to file petition for League contention.
To file without first resigning will result in punishment of Capital, Exile after the Election's conclusion.'

The Stele of law seems to have misheard the command given to it.
The law is wrong, or so they say.
Horror abounds among the scribes and there are rumors of a shouting match,
or a least a frank and hostile discussion, between the Gellemede Mari Blacke and the Chief Scribe.

However the frenetic actions  of the evening does not stop there.

Apothar Azimi of the Astronomers of Q'tolip has issued a blanket ban on the Alchemists Guild from using their Laboratory space, citing Trespassing and listing many members, nearly all Voiced.
Outcome yet to be seen.

So too did the Scribes continue in a hurried pace.

QuoteChief Scribe Frederica Ashbury
All Scribes not currently at their duties are called to an emergency meeting in our offices.

As the Scribe Faustine takes to public recount the rulings it appears by happenstance or misfortune - No quorum could be secured by the Voiced on almost any of the proposed legislation save for the Prohibition upon Accord Candidates.

...However given what came of the one Law that was raised, perhaps not the worst notion that more was not passed.

Tamuzz's Assemblies have come to a close.

[hide=Scribe Faustine's public recount]Faustine Sangrey

Isevara, Penal Code to be Revised to Clarify matters of trespass. Interrupted, to be reviewed upon next Assembly. So ends the proposals of 22nd Tammuz.[/hide]

For better or worse, the Wyrm is removed.
Allotment dispensed to coffers of the Signatory
And the Well's Government surviving yet another week.
