Remember randomly selected merchants, appearing in the Ticker Square? I feel that current setting is a perfect opportunity to reuse this system, justified by foreign caravans and trade with City States or less known entities, with their own signature selection of goods or services. Maybe not at the current stage of Well development, but sometimes.
