A letter to Isabella Fitzgerald

S. Isabella,

Firstly, I wanted to thank you again for sharing your tale with me. I shall hope to make it justice, for the joyous occassion of your wedding.  The reason I'm writing, however, is to answer the questions you had for me. For that... Auction.

Firstly, I am Alejandro Benjazar. Who I am really is... A bit more tricky to say!

I am, of course, a storyteller who learnt the Thousandfold Tale from Warad himself. In deserts deep did I heard the Tale that makes those who listen know the language of the stars, the secret names of the wind! At least, according to legend! I weave my tale, so that others, too, will have a chance to receive such blessings, once they've heard it whole! Oh, the greatness of my trade cannot be overstated! Hence why I toil over ancient texts and new papers, decyphering the endless Folds of the Telling! For, within it, lies wisdom and survival...

You were very open with me, so I will be open too: I am also just a farmboy who lost everyone to the ash.  I am someone who likes to distract himself, and others. I am as happy as I can. I try to make others as happy as I can.

It's not fascinating. It's not adventurous. I'm just one more like other thousands of refugees. But I got my tales and with them, my pride.

As for hobbies, I'd say music. I like composing jingles. Sometimes even get paid for it! Some people find it silly, as though all poetry had to be grand and beautiful and works of Art. But poetry is about rhythm, and joy! It's about getting our feelings out and making them dance for the world to see! So I deeply enjoy making silly rhymes - even if I'm not so good at it! It makes me smile. And that's not nothing.
