Business Proposal

Venerable One,

I write this instead of speaking directly because I know you are working on songs and guiding the young.
Elawyn of the Golds and and Leiah of the Purples begged me to consult with our people on whether we are willing to work on restoring certain buildings and sections of the wall (such as the Gate of Sand) in Ephias Well. They suggested the Stone Folk were, in the words of Elawyn, too slow and expensive. They said they would pay us dinars if we were to do building work for them with our artisans, and also proposed trade in the future.

I have consulted with Gramuth Grudgebrand, a fellow dwarf, and we both have come to the conclusion that we are not comfortable responding to her offer without consulting with you. It is my personal thought that we ought to focus dwarven work on dwarven needs, not human needs, but I would never presume to speak for you unless bidden. Elawyn asked for a quote on how much restoring broken sections of the town & gate would cost, and whether we could source the building material ourselves or not.

Therefore I humbly ask for your opinion so I might know what to respond, if at all.
