Seers quest

This quest needs rebalancing. The boss is far too difficult for the quest. It is a levels 5 to 11 quest and the boss killed a group of competent level 7s and up. This should not happen unless in the form of an optional part where you fight the boss and red warning signs. I'd suggest either lowering the difficultly of the boss (maybe his ab for one?) or have some other boss ie a creation of his and him as the optional riskier part.

LordOfBones

If anything I believe the rest of the quest is far too easy, this is supposed to be one of the two hardest quests on the server, even if its reward has been vastly reduced. It sort of makes a big contrast with most of the quest being easy and then all of a sudden you have a big mean boss.

I think the quest is actually called Sandy Crypt or something though.

QuoteThis should not happen

What an odd thing to say.

The body of the quest is fine, it scales according to how many people you bring and is much harder the more people you bring. Though some tweaks could be made there I suppose, perhaps adjust the spawns so the median is an amount difficult for smaller groups while the spawns not increasing so much it's near death for bigger groups.

Good additions have already been made to the spawns though and there are still plenty of way to die if you don't meta game. Its just the boss which is not fitting, I would go so far as to suggest remaking the whole area with how much people metagame what is to come but ill stick with the boss suggestion for now.

The basic same boss model as the sinister boss would work really, this is a lower magic setting than Efua and efum so anything with strong magic is devastating.

Zango_Unchained

I'll say what someone told me about this quest.

Your going into the lowerdark which is a obscenely dangerous place, your going into a crypt which even on the surface can be highly dangerous and on top of all of this your fighting which could be hundreds of years old and have magical powers that are very powerful as all have.

Paha edit: Why must I always remind not to speak of anything related to details of quests or Ig matters, even if they may be very open information to older players. There are still plenty that don't know and don't need to know before they find it out.

Pentaxius

-Randomize the AI actions.
-Change his respawn system to incorporate an element of randomness.
-Reduce his overall power to be in line with the above mentionned adjustments.

Suggestions are great and fine, and we read them, but leave details and information out. - Paha

Disco

Unless this quest was changed BIG TIMES, since back in the days, its fine..

Damien

The boss and some spawns have disco, as well as the entire efu economy which changes everything. I will admit it did used to be a cake walk, ESP for team nature which is why I didn't critisize the other stuff added! xx

Paha

Suggestion noted, though it is unlikely to be made easier atleast. There is no need to start speculating things.

Divine Intervention

Simple suggestion which would make it considerably more manageable without major rebalancing.  Simply add a rest point towards the end of the quest.  It is quite long and the boss as noted is very difficult by which point nearly all spells have run out.

SN

It's very well balanced, i think.
The spawns scale nicely.

And the 'boss'.... well, he should (IMHO) be similar in 'power' to the 'boss' of the Sinister Enclave. And surprise surprise - he is.

Knight Of Pentacles

Break it into two parts.  One with the boss, one without.

Paha

Thanks for the suggestions. If you got any valid suggestions to make, please do post them, as always. But I don't want to see mere opinions or nay-yay-comments.

Random_White_Guy

I'll admit I have only done the quest twice. Once was almost a TPK and once we used our better judgement. In my opinion I think it should be Tower of Mercy style.

You can go through and fight the boss if you want a challenge and supplies, like the old Warden's room in Tower of Mercy, otherwise you can simply portal out to the exit with what you managed to scrounge up until that final point.

It's what made Tower of Mercy such a unique and fun quest because you always had that option to "Go big" if you wanted to, or simply bow out.

How about just changing the boss back to EfU 1 level? Since consumables are supposedly harder to get now, wouldn't that still be plenty challenging?
