Make most spiders animals/magical creatures

While this will likely get shot down by the "droods2pwrful" mentality, I'm going to go ahead and make it anyway.  Spiders are immune to mind-effecting spells, so they cannot be AE'd.  This, however, would allow those with high enough AE not be forced to kill spiders.  And when druids can already AE cave bears that are far far more formidable than any spider that spawns (except for maybe a Behemoth? Which don't spawn AFAIK), it isn't "gamechanging" in the least.  Spiders are animals... not "vermin".  Vermin is a ridiculous categorization and I'm unsure what weed the NWN developers were smoking when they decided to add it.

I suggest another possibility, equally as hard, but maybe more interesting: make the spiders an entire faction, allowing some determined kinds of characters to be included in it and not be attacked by them, maybe through a perk or maybe through EIG.

Another idea would be to do the same with other types of beasts, and allow the same to repeat accordingly to the concept played.

We already can get a perk for animals not attacking, and perhaps the same could be available for other monsters: like aberrations, undead, bandits and so on.

Vermin now are less hostile to druids and more emphatically attuned rangers. We'll try it out.
