The Band Played On

Well, after a good long run Gwyneth has finally died. I'm not going to go into details, but I'd like to thank all the players I interacted with, who are too many to name, and also the DMs for making it a fun run. I'd also like to encourage players to step outside the norm, and try the more difficult paths EfU has to offer, because those are often the most rewarding.

Now to screenshots.

The beginning of Gwyneth's work on the Substance.

One of several lectures she gave in the name of the Archaeological Society.

Ascensionist rituals.

A bit of a problem with the Spellguard, of which there were many.

A mysterious construct outside Sewertown.

Seeking the Way.

And finally, a pretty violin for the musician.

Thanks all, see you ingame with my next concept soon enough.

Paha

Excellent work. It was fun to watch and see things evolve.

WeAllGonnaDie

I shall miss our debates and philosophical arguments!

Matilda never managed to fully twist her mind and Oya never got her blood T.T

Sad times. A long, interesting and exciting run for sure.

That is really too bad- I had hoped to see her continue her journey unto completion, but perhaps it did.

It's hard to put into words how I enjoyed Gwyneth as a character- but I certainly did. It's not often that intelligence is roleplayed so well. Then again Cap might be a genius.
"Proving concerned parents from the 80's wrong, just in time for them to be dead. "

Pentaxius

A marvellous character, I can't begin to describe how much Gwyneth enriched the server in my opinion.

Was she not such a prude, I would call her the Voltaire of EFU. The many scholarly texts she left behind will stand as a mountain for other scholars to surpass.

Kudos.

Oh no! I'm not around for one dark and this is what happened!

... When Irith first met Gwyneth DeVries, I thought for sure that they would wind up hating each-other. But... they managed to teach each-other things, I think, about their common interests and develop a mutual respect.

It... deteriorated over time, but they had many wild adventures together. Sad I couldn't be around at the end.

Thank you for Gwyneth, and I eagerly await what you do next, Cap.

I think I managed to screenshot the conversation where their friendship and partnership truly solidified- when they began researching the Dunwarren Machine together.

Twelve

What a total paranoid bitch to anyone that wanted to help Lower!

Well played as always Cap!

Zango_Unchained

They were enjoyable, even if I was always at odds with the pc they were well played and true to concept.

Ebok

I should've played your butler.

Dillusionist

One of my favorite from this chapter by far. It was a pleasure to interact and argue with her on Caelun, and to watch her evolve from archaeologist to revolutionary to something else entirely. And I agree with Pentaxius that it was great to see some enlightenment-styled intellectualism injected into EFU:R; its going to be a challenge for future scholars to surpass her.

djspectre

Damn shame to see her go. Loved our interactions with both my characters and you died holding something that one of them sorely needed.

Good work!

Screenshots! Oh, do I have screenshots! I'll post them soon!

Well done indeed! :)
