[hide=Background]A Rashamen witchman, after awakening in the city of rings believing he was on his Dajemma (Spirit quest/rumspringa). He began his life as a Ring runner traveling deepward in search of answers from the spirits serving as a mystic medicine man. Upon reaching the 95th Ring however the remnants of the Sibilant Empire had vastly different plans. His ring companions slain or enslaved while he cherished for his special blood.

Enslaved by shackle and tribal narcotic he was moved from camp to camp while his unique blood used to partake of the savage and black magic rituals of the Empress' Remnants. A shell of a broken and emaciated man, his blood and life devoted in so many rituals to The Empress, he is discarded and left as dead weight when the Count's Drill passes the 95th Ring

Fleeing and surviving on rats and moss in 95 he knows only two things - 1) Spirits have blessed him, to what ends unknown, so he continues the lizard work on his blood 2) The Count of Sunpurse saved him from a lifetime of abject horror.[/hide]

Ironically he wasn't made to join Sunpurse, he was going to just be a quirky tribal/ponds sympathizer, but the RP of the IG world had other plans which lead to a wild and twisting adventure.

Akesh was made with one goal in mind: Trying to flesh out Sorcerer RP since in so many ways, Perks exist but have an almost X-Men quality origin story which often feel overlooked or unengaged in to distinguish them from being "Wizards without Seam Sick". Proudly can say I got to speak with a dozen sorcerer PCs in 1-2 hour cocoa sessions playing either covetous collector, counseling bishop, or just offering some quiet to an otherwise chaotic life of blood and power.

What started as a hermetic shaman that didn't even speak common, lead to a hilarious encounter with Redjacks and Sunpurse PCs. Starting as a weird little feral wolf-boy mentality, being cultivated by Cyrus, Sidonie, Augustus, Francine, and others to begin becoming far more "Human". As the character developed there was something really enjoyable about playing around with the idea of a Retainer who was casting off of glory, fame, etc in the pursuit of a very personal journey under the very evil umbrella of House Sunpurse.

As a Hemotologist the perk itself is something I always loved the RP of but found mechanically really, really bad. So playing into that notion I created the idea that like a Positivist, Akesh's only magics were really designed for killing and the manipulating of blood. Virulent Walking Bomb was his go to spell which had 0 use in the peerage because it would 100% lead to NPCs being damaged, leading to the cultivation of a great many tricks, talents, and undertakings to pursue the collection and study of blood. However on more than a few occasions 7 rat summons were turned purple and sent to EXPLODE in various fun little combat scenarios, which was most enjoyable.

This lead to some equally hilarious RP when he actually met a positivist, and a fun little "You only save, Akesh only kill".

Playing what was effectively a commoner PC in the peerage with no combat skills, no magical skills, and a heavy focus on playing Medieval Plague Doctor was quite amusing especially considering the amount of strife, conflict, and more in the peerage. Not solving things with shooting them, or blasting them off, relying on low-wis and low int political moves, etc.

Season of Suiting was a low wis scheme to raise money, The Bishopric pursuit was a low int means of trying to con PCs into handing over their blood, and similar tactics emphasizing a sorcerer's quirky Charisma over anything overly of substance.

He hated rudeness, loved quiet conversations, and put his research above anything and everything. Because on one hand he was able of being a weapon of mass destruction, but to actually trigger the  bomb would have been a cascading horror show. So he researched tirelessly in the pursuit of finding out more about himself, more about the nature of sorcery, and the personal journey.

Perk Sorcerer Blood was traded among many PCs like pokemon cards, which was really fun to have PCs seeking him out for potent blood for rituals and otherwise RP of hexes, curses, and more. Atop of this a great many other samples of blood Over 50 in all, from PCs willingly donating  or trading him blood.

His greatest feats

- A great deal of effort put into the hunt for Phelan Sunpurse in terms of detective/mystical work.

- Approaching the Moonspear to say "Fuck it, kneel, come back in" only to discover the Rubies basically did the same thing

- Banishing Yict the necromancer from the Peerage because he was rude to Akesh.

- During the attack of Crookjaw on the community in his final run, stealing all his stealth magics in one plucky dispel, which may have had some influence on things

- During the attack of Visangri, nailing a Tanglefoot Bag at the start of the fight lol.

- The Season of Suiting which lead to much hilarity and a lot of "What the fuck is Akesh doing", but it was pretty IC for a tribalistic PC to try and stir conflict and etc by "Marrying tribal foes".

- Getting ruthlessly murdered by Wednesday Watkins for Season of Suiting, only to learn it was retconned.

- Getting captured as a hostage then thrown away as being "Useless" by Rene when he discovered I wasn't worth trading anything for.

- A ton of very fun, very personal conversations with Sorcerers about their perks, backgrounds, and how they brought the Perk into the IG world through their backgrounds.

- and ofc, the big Blood Magic. I had more rituals and such planned but the peak was a Body Horror Cronenberg/Fantastic Adventure in which he piloted a tiny blood homonculous around an infected Tchunite in the pursuit of curing him to the announcement of Mistandre Warden and others high acclaim...

But actually murdered him to steal more ritual blood power...Akesh kesh kesh... cackles the swamp hermit.

Loots, RPs, and Body Horror Adventures

Final Blood Count:  54 PCs

From Malik the Inquisitor giving up his blood to Egbert Velstra's blodo traded for, to Dame Eris Hale's blood secured for political servitude,  9 different Sorcerer Perk bloods, the blood of a Paladin willingly given, the blood of a PC tiefling willingly given, the blood of various PCs I cut sell your soul type deals for coins, potions, political favors, and more.

Overall just a fun time! Thanks for everyone involved in living out my Blood Mage fantasy at long last. Sorry couldn't do more but the hermetic, antisocial, ritual focused RP just was taking its toll.

I would love to see the internal dictionary you must have (and I expect you to have) of Sibilant to English speech.

Thanks for being Sunpurse Rasputin-- you'll be missed.

lol. It was mostly just improved of a lot of harsh concenants, Ak, Tek, Tak, Kahz, Kresh, etc. Then sprinkling in filler letters to sound more snake like. If you guys and the Jacks handn't snatched me to the Peerage i'd probably have done something more indepth, or even a forum dictionary of made up sibilant to english words hahah. Mostly was just picturing it like people trying to watch a foreign movie without subtitles. So i'd just ramble on and on in gibberish, making hand gestures, and as PCs began to teach him more common integrating them into it.

Sad to see Akesh go, but I understand!

Jello!

We didn't interact much, but each time was a blast!

I KNEW IT. I KNEW THE WEIRD BLOOD PERVERT FROM THE SWAMPS WAS WHACKO JACKO.

THE COCOA WAS TOO PURE.

God bless Akesh though. He ruled.
