Late last year I wanted to be able to get back into EFU but needed a character that wasn't dependent on me being on every day; but still providing some conflict and challenge everytime I was on. The fact that I'm completely inept at anything mechanics and decided on a kobold sorc was questioned by some (primarily my brother), but I've never regretted it.

As I didn't exactly expect for Kraka to survive as long as he did, the basic concept was simple. A kobold ooze savant who's affinity for slime originated in his own constantly runny nose, the semisentient ooze companion being the product of not just snot being clown out but some of his brains with it. The name Kraka derives from the swedish word "Kråka", meaning booger. All mature and well thought through concept.

Kraka was created on the 14th of december 2019 and died on the 13th of may 2020, marking just 5 months. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and recommend it to anyone who wants to try the more challenging side of efu. Running around the drips at lvl 2-3 without even being able to cast invis, knowing full well around any corner could be a random pc that would mean death (or just a random sewer croc, seeing as I didn't get the app in for the first week or two).

Amazingly, Kraka survived not just a lot of near deaths, but also a couple of accidental ones, and on the other end of the spectrum experienced a brief stint of immortality. I remember at least three occassions of getting more or less one shot to negatives by PCs and then being left to bleed out, but successfully making the recovery rolls.

"Oops"

Other end of the spectrum, took dmg, apparently couldn't be subdued. Win EFU?

I wasn't the only one to be surprised with the longevity

After the first few weeks of random running around, SFP picked Kraka up for his Urr sewer plot which resulted in some amazing moments of character development, promoting Kraka as the speaker of Urr. While it really didn't have any big inpact ingame, it meant a lot for one little kobold and his player.

The associated loot that came to mean a lot for my portraying of Kraka's relationship with the, very closely, surrounding slime.

The Urr plot also brought along a first batch of allies.

Meeting Nazrin.

Kobolds and gnomes on the same team.

The Urr gang, or part of it.

Saying goodbye to an old friend.

[hide=A final meeting with an old mentor]
Just before the end, Kraka met with the Urr Mage one last time for a final lesson, taking on his mantle both literally and  figuratively. A crowning achievement for a pathetic little kobold.[

Most of his pathetic life, however, Kraka ran around scavenging randoms and low level quests and narrowly escaping death by just about any PC that he ran into. Turns out, as a monster sorc you have very little to spend gold on, and low level quests and randoms deliver a lot of gold. Ignoring all the potions, ash and random items, Kraka got piñatad for a total of more than 21000 gold by other PCs. At most he had some 9500 gold on him. Kobold lyfe rich lyfe.
[hide= IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAND]

Amazingly enough didn't happen just once. Also, thanks Stranger for helping with the COLLECTPACKPANIC.

Thanks to everyone I've run into the last few months and to the DMs as a whole and particularily for to Dillusionist for that early support, and of course SkillFocusPwn for all the attention and the Urr plot!

[hide=The End]

Ps. I actually made lvl 8. And on a kobold. Who would've though.
