Vagabond Fighter Perk - AC Bonus not applying

Example:

Level 5 character with 14 dexterity (2 mod) and plain chain shirt (4 base ac) has 16 total AC.
+3 AC bonus from Vagabond doesn't appear to be working.

Don'think this has ever worked on my PC. Tried re-equipping the armor, relogging, no luck.

This perk works fine, I think you misunderstood it.

Unless you're level 8. You're not supposed to get any bonus ac from the perk while wearing a chainshirt and sporting 14 dexterity.
And even then, it's only +2

The perk works correctly. You have misunderstood how it functions.

At lvl 8, it in essence helps you to have 18 ac with +2 dex modifier and lighter type armor. Not more, not less. That's how the calculation works there.

If your armor has +1 ac, or +2 ac, or you have more than +2 dex modifier, it takes those into account and lowers your bonus so that it will not grant you more than 18 total with +6 from armor (at maximum at lvl 8 ) and +2 from dex. If you would have +3 dex modifier with same armor, it would take away one bonus ac from the armor to compensate, so you would still have 18 ac total.

Did you:

• Wear the armor when resting?
• Try to reset the perk?

Did the chain shirt have a +1 modifier?

Resetting the perk got this to work, guess I just need to do that more often.

I got into the habit of resetting perk often when I played a tribal guardian barb last chapter, it usually resolves ac issues
